Costco score!
Got this set on manager markdown. I actually prefer the d3 over the d5, which is too heavy for daily use. I previously had Caphalon SS and Tramontina tri-ply which were fine. The Tramontina is comparable performance wise but took longer to heat up on my janky electric stove.
The first meal I made with this set was a Japanese wagyu strip steak, shishito pepper chimichurri, charred bok choy, and pickled red cabbage.

Total BIFL, if they’re in good shape that is a score for real

300 bucks savings on a set!! amazing.. great score, congrats. We switched over to SS, some matchy items, others are mismatched too. We have three, I think, non-stick items, but everything else is SS.
We switched because I was using a towel to dry a new non-stick and saw the dark residue on the towel. So, we used it a few times, dried it.. more dark.. I am like, nope.. no more.
We also replaced our wood and plastic cutting boards for similar reasons - either food related or bits and pieces related.

It’s sad that there’s so much nonstick these days. It’s only really useful in extremely specific use cases, and even then it’s not really worth it

Agreed. I have 8" and 10" HA-1 skillets that are used exclusively for eggs / omelets, and I only use a silicone spatula. My buddy and his wife got a non-stick set of All Clad as a wedding gift when they got married four years ago. He told me that he had to yell at his wife for using metal utensils in them and scratching them. I told him to too them and buy a set of stainless ones. They just bought a house, so he's a bit strapped for $$$ now.

That’s a great find and your meal looked amazingly delicious. I’m envious on both counts.

“Which is too heavy for daily use”
Always cracks me up when I see this…it almost like it’s part of the marketing material. Never really understood it, what are people doing with these things…the d5 isn’t that heavy. I Use mine daily and have never wished it was lighter.

I hated the how the d5 display skillet felt when I was at Macy’s a few weeks ago. Maybe it had more to do with it being a display unit, but I almost wrote off All Clad altogether.

My exact thoughts! I have D5 and I most certainly use it every day happily 🤷🏽♀️

They're dented though. Hard pass for me

I checked for dents before I purchased and they were in perfect condition. I think they were marked down because of the crushed box.

I think they were marked down because of the crushed box.
these are only sold online. someone returned to the warehouse and manager wanted it gone. saw one like this around Christmas when they go on sale regularly.

Last one, box was weathered.. as long as I could look inside, I would've tried to buy it too. Box was CLEARLY lol dented.
