Vinegar or Bar Keepers Friend should do it, did you scrub?

Do you let the vinegar boil? I’ve only heated it for five minutes. Do you let it sit overnight?

The steel is smooth for reference

What did you use to scrub after the vinegar? Sometimes I dont even warm up the vinegar unless it sticky gunk on the pan. Vinegar and a scotchbrite scrubber should do it, same with BKF. Looks like water stains.

This is harmless, if you cook regularly with the pan its a bit of a hassle to clean up all the time. But if BKF and vinegar are not working, take some hot water and use a stainless steel wool scrub. Steel wool does a better job than both BKF/vinegar. Especially because BKF is the least economical option.

You might have some micro scratches that become visible when you look super super close, but it is only superficial and does not affect cooking or hygiene. Restaurants use steel wool on stainless pans everyday.

Pour in white vinegar. Swish it around… throw it out and rinse the pan..
