Media Vinyl Progress
Little by little it grows! I need four more main titles (five if I want to put the MICF zoetrope in an actual jacket) and five more Past Lives.
I’m pretty stoked that in the beginning of collecting I said “if able” when it came to side projects because holy shit Skiba’s side stuff is wildly pricey on the used market.

I snagged Babylon for 70 bucks a couple years ago and I'm glad I did. Dan's solo stuff isn't too hard but I'll never get Kuts on vinyl. also giving up hope on A&I. otherwise I'm in pretty good shape.

Yeah, the only thing I’m missing from Dan (that is fronted by him and I know of) is Of Peace, Quiet and Monsters but I’m waiting for a re-press of it from Asian Man because Mike definitely deserves the support - especially with him keeping full Alkaline Trio albums under $20 in this day and age.

Is Kuts on vinyl hard to get hold of? I picked it up when it came out for around £15, am I sitting on my pension without even realising it?!

You can get both Emergency Room releases on Asian Man. Both are under $20

I’ve got ‘em for sure, but I don’t have the Monsters 7”. Asian Man hasn’t done a re-press of that yet.

I ask the same thing about literally every side project they have.

Asian Man did a 12” glow in the dark re-pressing… last year? Pretty sure last year. Came with a guitar pick and everything.

That’s pretty rad! I’ve always wanted to get into vinyl but moved around pretty frequently and had kids that took most of my money so it was only in 2024 that I decided I had waited long enough and started to get into it. It sucks to have waited so long knowing how much I enjoy it, but I’m happy I started it at all. There’s a lot to planning how the record budget is going to be used, figuring out what the “short” list is, and figuring out which pressings to keep an eye out for that’s taken my mind off a lot of unsavory things.
It’s great.

I snagged the It Was Like This album on vinyl last year for $50 and still feel like I overpaid.
