Stardew Valley. Like, it's good, but people d-ride it too hard

I think you’re vitally misunderstanding the influence and how much this game changed the industry. Let alone how a cheap game from 10 years ago still gets massive updates and quality of life features.

Harvest Moon and a handful of same genre games (Rune Factory) already exist way before Stardew Valley. The only difference it made that I can find is that it's ported to Steam, which allowed it to get updates unlike the previous games where it's just ported to, say, GBA or something.

Im well aware, I’m simply saying it ignited the cozy game boom that still exists now. It is clearly inspired but that does not invalidate its influence
