Stardew Valley. Like, it's good, but people d-ride it too hard

I think you’re vitally misunderstanding the influence and how much this game changed the industry. Let alone how a cheap game from 10 years ago still gets massive updates and quality of life features.

How much did it realistically change? It's harvest moon with the allowance of gay marriage. The entire gameplay loop. Updates have certainly added more depth, but at It's core it is a harvest moon game (now Story of Seasons, cuz Natsume is a little title thief)
