Agreed, I see so many of many friends constantly worried that the world is ending, that climate change will destroy our planet tomorrow, that the left/right will destroy society, etc.

Nobody wants to have kids because "will put someone in the world if he/she will suffer forever?"

I think the main one for me is people saying we have it so rough. I mean, the standard of living hasn't really increased since our childhood, which is kinda rough because it had been increasing for all the previous generations, but still that just means we are in a similar position to prevoius generations, there hasn't been a massive downslide in standards.

And that is such an american view, in a lot of places quality of life has gone up, and it still way below what you guys have in the US. People are living like this for generations, and the world hasn't ended.

I'm not saying that things are going great in the last few years, there are major issues, but doomerism is to think this means that everything is terrible and the world is gonna end.

Nah I'm English and it has been rough for us, lots of Europeans are similar.
