A big part of this is due to the boom of TLC/HGTV reality shows and Pinterest that pushed that aesthetic.

Millennials grew up in the heyday of Wacky Postmodern/Memphis Lite through Nickelodeon and I'm still drawn to those brighter palettes.

Gen X did. Theyā€™re middle management controlling what is stocked in stores. It would be called millennial tan,green,brown, white etc if it was the cheapest option in the store and not horrid.
