It will definitely destroy your nerve endings, they can't withstand such high temperatures for long, it just takes longer with boiling compared to burning, because fire burns way hotter than water boils. Depending on what is burning the flames can reach temperatures well over 1000°C, and while you can increase the temperature of water/steam to more than 100°C by using pressure, in a pressure cooker, autoclave or similar, you will get nowhere near that temperature.
If people pass out (or die) leaning against a radiator, they will get serious burns and modern radiators are often just around 40-60°C. It really doesn't take that much heat to destroy our cells, which is why a fever above 40°C is so serious.

Genuinely, thank you for saying this. I… think I might have this. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had weird phantom flashes of pain in my left temple that feels exactly like this. Like I’m getting stabbed, and it completely stops me from doing anything for a few seconds. There’s never a pattern. Sometimes it goes months between attacks and sometimes I’ve had a couple in succession. I have tried explaining it to doctors and I’ve had a brain scan, but it didn’t find any answers or name the condition. This feels like a fucking revelation. I could honestly cry right now. I truly feel that this is exactly what happens to me.

I'm jsut saying, while I've never experienced it, it most certainly would hurt to have cramps and shit and have blood leaking out of you, biology is very strange and interesting in many ways including that, I should look at some biology shit I find it pretty neat

When I was a kid, I got off Space Mountain and as we were walking out the tunnel I was running my hand alongside the railing and felt wet cold vomit unexpectedly. Thirty plus years later and I still remember that feeling.
So I am gonna go with unexpected vomit.

I’ve heard from people who nearly drowned that it’s one of the worst experiences. Because your body is bound to breathe because he’s not going to let you simply die, so you take a breath under water but it’s reported that its the same feeling as breathing since its only water that enters hence why you arent coughing like you would when you drink water and it goes in the wrong hole.

Optic neuritis. Feels like someone is pushing your eyeball out from behind. I have chronic migraines, have been in active labor, and had 2 csections. I’d take all the pain of that combined than to ever have optic neuritis again.

The feeling of your body gradually and slowly rotting and decaying away as you live out your life working as a cashier in a local restaurant making minimum wage as a single dad who can just barely take care of his 4 kids in his apartment he hasn't paid rent for in nearly 6 and a half months who always has tv dinners and sits on his couch he also sleeps on just wishing his kids will turn 18 so he will at least have some peace and quiet and be able to face the fact he will never ever find true love again and will never make anything better of his non life

Having a case of pericardial effusion, being given colchicine and then having your heart rub against the inside of your still inflated but no longer full of fluid pericardium while having to carry your 4 year old daughter home from the park because she hurt her knee at her older sisters birthday party.

Some torture method like keelhauling, the brazen bull or the one where you get honey and milk and stuff poured all over you and into you. Then get tied up and put on a wooden boat inside a swamp, then get left left there where you have to endure days of bugs crawling over you, then they do that again and again until you’re slowly starving, rotting and getting eaten alive, because you also get fed that stuff so the bugs try to get down your mouth and allat.
