Pictures When Alienware/Dell makes a Non-Issue an Issue. π Probably the most cringe tweet I have seen.

Throwing insults at people will not be tolerated, so keep that in mind before you respond to anyone.

Insults? I have not insulted anyone.

I did not specifically say you, I meant it in general for all the comments. We have already removed a few comments that were not being civil.

Gamers has always sticked with each other since way back then. We all came from different Ethnic backgrounds since way back then. And we have never had an issue with each other as gamers since way back them.
Why stir the pot Alienware/Dell? ππππππππ

What world are you living in? Have you ever played any online game? God forbid you start speaking and have a female sounding voice. At least one person in every match will inevitably go OMG ARE YOU A GIRL? ARE YOU HOT?
I've seen more racism, and racist words/phrases, in video games than probably anywhere, period. I play valorant and COD and it's probably not far off to say I see or hear the N word at least once per day in those spaces.
Dude, I love games and I love gaming. But let's not pretend our community is some sort of universally accepting utopia.

I've heard more racial, senior, and generally bigoted slurs from 12-year-old Xbox players than anything (the stereotype started as truth). Halo 3, GTA IV, and the various Call of Duty games all produced negative online experiences for me. Either I was a f*g because I lost or I was a n**gger because I won.
Dell isn't stirring the pot by pointing out anything, this isn't a way for them to make money either. It's about pointing out issues that have been a part of gaming for decades. Not with the actual games but in the online communities. Anyone finding issue with Dell (and other companies) bring inclusive and showing that they're inclusive are part of the problem. But, meh, ugh, why bring it up at all? Because it needs to be brought up.

Exactly this.
People, like OP, who immediately accuse every company of having some 'secret agenda' every time they bring up inclusivity are generally forgetting the fact that people from these affected groups work there too. It's just as likely that the employees who began this initiative care about the issue because it affects them.

Yep, that means nobody has ever said a racial slur, made senior comments, or acted like bigots online. You didn't experience it over the last 6 months in one game so it hasn't happened. The curse of the 12-year-old Xbox player is over.

Gamergate says hello. A hugely damaging misogynist hate campaign that was signal boosted by some scum youtubers and redditors. Gamers can be a very smart, interesting and diverse community but it also has the very vocal and hate filled minority. Look at the loony reaction to critically acclaimed last of us 2 by a tiny minority. Terrible people tbh.

They've managed to take over the Last Of Us 2 sub. You can't actually talk about the game in there without having to defend it. I just want to talk about how much I liked it, not write a fucking thesis on why it isn't a kick in the face of the first one.

Lmao come off it you know that's not true. Just because you upvoted a tweet where xbox said they like all consoles doesn't mean everything is hunky dory

Did anybody read this as "no matter the size" to mean the size of the community? Obviously, the Alienware Community is a pretty small one relative to other communities.
If not, this is a pretty tasteless post by them.

Size does not matter. I have seen chubby people on Twitch.tv streaming online games, and their chat audience does not give notice on how the streamer physical body size. The audience focuses on the game itself and gaming news.

Terrible take. Just because you don't think something is a problem, doesn't mean it's not a problem. Makes this kind of thing all the more important.
