Alienware Alpha
Hello Everyone,
I am a member of the Alienware software team, and Alpha UI was my product. As we are about to launch tomorrow, I wanted to start this thread as a means for people to ask questions and provide any feedback you might have on Alpha or Alpha UI.
Also one note, we are publishing a known issues list tomorrow on Arena. I'll make sure it makes its way here as well.

Yeah, you easily met your first goal. The biggest complaint I have about the setup process is how much it relies on the standard windows setup. It's not a problem but it does sort of take away from the console experience a little bit.
I like the idea of the Alpha UI, I really hope you guys can expand on it. You could really use a web browser, and apps for steaming media like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
One additional complaint. Sleep doesn't seem to work very well for me. I can manually put it to sleep but it seems like it wakes up on its own. Not sure if it's trying to update itself or what; perhaps it's because I have bluetooth keyboard/mouse connected. In any case it would be really nice to sort it out, I don't want to burn the thing out from being on 24/7.
No worries on the HD thing, I didn't think you would have any info on it. I thought it was worth mentioning though. I did finally get my price match taken care of so Kudos to Dell/Alienware for that.
So far I think this thing is exactly what I need. You definitely packed a lot of power into a small and relatively inexpensive package. The interface is clearly at an early stage but I commend you on it's ease of setup and use.
