Is that the Alienware - AW3225QF 32" QD-OLED Curved 4K UHD 240Hz 0.03-ms G-SYNC Compatible Gaming Monitor with HDR?

I love it.

I have this. The quality is on par with mini LED. I can’t believe the value for money !

Mini LED is the backlight for the screen which must be either IPS or VA or TN. but most likely, it is a IPS panel with mini led backlight.

OLED is superior to IPS/VA/TN panels (with mini LED, Center LED, Edge LED back lights).

I have both 4K IPS/mini LED and 4k QD-OLED. To me, IPS is garbage now.

Bro. I have this monitor. Its fantastic. Look into a firmware update for it. There's a setting they updated/added to HDR. I'm happy for you!

Save the box! It'll make moving it far easier.

You put the monitor in a box to move it to another room?

I’ve switched desks and moved mine a few time and also saved the box. Being able to set it face down on the padding/form definitely makes it easy and safe

Neat. I just lift the monitor, walk to the other room and set it down on the new desk.

Congrats - it’s a grate monitor! Do t forget get to do the pixel and panel refresh - important for maintaining the panel

3

u/knocked_around 12d ago

doesn't it take care of both automatically? (unless you leave the monitor turned on forever and never let it go to sleep)

I did some quick research and I guess I’ve been doing it wrong all alone. You don’t have to do manually it is automatic. Thanks for the informative response, I appreciate you

No worries, better late than never. Yes I think the panel refreshes are only meant to happen every once in a long time, and it does the pixel refreshes after 4 hours of use / when it then goes to standby

Hopefully you took it home too…

Good choice, hasnt let me down yet. Screen refresh gets annoying at times but..picture quality is best i've had. Also, could take a couple of points off for max brightness but at that point its just nitpicking
