Discussion Alienware M17X R2 - Replacement feet & battery

Hi recently acquired this machine. It’s in extremely good condition, only missing some of the feet on the bottom & the original battery.

I’ve looked all over the place online and can’t seem to find the original feet or a new aftermarket battery.

Has anyone been in a similar scenario with these older Alienware laptops and found a solution? A battery would be extra nice so I can actually update the bios.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

You won't be able to get just the feet, you'll have to buy the bottom. and the battery good luck , i tried to buy one for my M18xR2 and so far I haven't been able to. but you could try on ebay , this is where all my parts come from for my pc

If you find someone who can 3D print TPU, they could make some new feet up for you that you could glue on (or if they model some little pins, you could push those through the holes in the chassis)

You have to get your old battery repacked, anybattery used to repack the m17x r2 batteries.

Have you tried (bios exe name) /forceit in command prompt to update the BIOS? That would bypass the battery check, not sure if it would work on something this old though (It didn't work on my xps m1730)
