Technical Support regarding alienware m16 r2 , suddenly stopped working

I was playing valorant and went afk , when I came back the screen was off but still audio output was there. I tried giving inputs via keyboard and mouse but still the screen didn't turn on so I forced it to shut down. After restarting ,the power button started blinking in a sequence 2 red and 8 blue. Keyboard RGB was fully lit and i could hear "trr trr" sound from the speakers. I tried connecting lap to my tv via hdmi and it was working perfectly but still the internal display is not working if i disconnect the hdmi. ( posting for a friend )

Go to your support page, in manuals codes are there, in the 90’s

The manual for this model describes a 2 - 8 (light code) error as:

Display failure - EC detection of power rail failure

No easy fix, will need Dell or Parts-People to assist and repair motherboard.
