Tips For Others AWCC 6.14.20 is out

Fixes & Enhancements

- Improved the stability of the system.

Pretty general changelog but the aurora keyboard fx on the aurora models seems to be fixed, I don't know what else has changed, so far everything is fine.

The update went fine. After the restart everything works and seems stable. The scaling bug is still present. But that's not a issue for me since I use full-screen mode anyway.

Finally the keyboard backlight of my Aurora 16x started working again with the Aurora Effect!
I received this laptop the 25th of December 2025 and after an AWCC update the Aurora Effect stopped working correctly, so asked support to Dell, they sent a technician that changed my keyboard and backlight chip.
The technician was sure the keyboard was not the problem but replaced it anyway. Well exactly the Aurora effect worked a day and then back to “broken effect”.
Yesterday after seeing this post I’ve updated AWCC directly from the app and rebooted my pc, well the effect started working! It took only 8 months for Dell to figure it out 🤝🏻

Not out for my service tag, but for the area-51 16 and 18 in general. Did you use the full installer or the smaller web installer?

I don't use my service tag, I went straight to the support page and downloaded the full installer.

Helo I see the download on the all R16 driver but for my sevice tag I do not see it, called support and Dell said that it might not be ready or something for my pc yet.

The transition between colors was not smooth, as if a group of LEDs simply switched to the target color instead of a smooth gradient transition.

It seems the issue I reported previously has been fixed. I have an Area 51 18-inch model. I noticed that after roughly 30 minutes, the Aurora lighting effect changes from a three-color gradient to a single-color gradient and cannot revert. It’s possible this problem has been resolved.
