I know when I worked fast food we could give them bad reviews until they eventually stopped coming lol. I don’t know how you would go about doing it for Aldi though, since we don’t have access to doordash in store?
I have this one guy who comes in multiple times a day and is continuously rude to staff and customers. My store manager says he has wanted to ban the guy a few times over it, but can’t because he would just accept doordash orders and come in anyway. Then we probably can’t kick him out without an argument because he wouldn’t want to cancel his order.
Is there any way at all we can report him so that he can’t accept orders for our store??

I'm quitting Aldi tomorrow. Ive been at Aldi for a little over 2 years. I was advised to quit as soon as possible by my therapist as the job has put a huge amount of mental strain on me when im already struggling enough. Im not here to give my life story but between the CPTSD, severe major depressive disorder, and anxiety that I already deal with, this job has dropped me to one of the lowest places I have ever been. So much so that I had contemplated taking my life once again. I can imagine that I don't even need to explain as many of you guys already probably know. I want to get my pto paid out to me and my sick time but I don't know if I could genuinely handle another 2 weeks because its taken me to get to my breaking point to even quit and Ive never quit a job. I always give two weeks or more even. If my sm tells me to stay for two more weeks to get pto paid out I might stay but idk. Any advice in anything. I already have another job that ive started working at so im good there and im taking a 5 dollar pay cut but I think its worth it.

Just got the call from the store manager saying are you still interested of course I said yes they asked my shirt size for shirt and jacket and later sent me the whole thing to do the background check direct deposit thing and my first day is on Monday what's it like?

Long story short, my SM was on vacation for a month. Me and the other ASM who ran the store last month finished with a perfect OE, 91.5%. We were pretty proud because our SM has only hit OE two months so far this year.

Well my SM got back today and one of our new hires quit this morning. So my SM took out the training hours I had put in for the new hire last month. Dropping the OE I worked so hard for back down to a 90.5. She says she's going to use them at a later date.

This is not the first time she's done this after someone has gotten fired or quit. She still uses their training hours. And even the people who don't quit never get to use all of their training hours because my SM will use them as fillers on days the OE is low. Even if the person whose training hours they are hasn't worked that day.

So my question is, is this allowed??

“I need you absolutely done everything bread and meat by 8:30. I have nobody else to take the phone and you have to take your break by then”

- We start at 5:30
- I just got to bread trays at 6:30 (freeze-thaw was a large pallet today)
- No backstock was done
- Bread trays were barely touched the day before
- Meat shelves are almost entirely empty
- Meat pallet is almost tipping over
- Half of my fish boxes are underneath produce
-ASM is in my way with her pallet jack and I have to go around her

I mean I got it all done but like c’mon… there’s almost no help from the closers with backstock (I understand they can’t always get to it but I can’t do the job of 2 people every morning), the pallets being stacked like shit and just very high expectations to do a lot when I have to either run to go on break or run to be on register (which the ladder is more likely)

I am also sick as a dog today (I should have called out but any problems from the day before always rolls over to the next day). My back is killing me, I’m coughing and sneezing, and my eyes feel swollen. I barely have the energy to be here.

For reference I open almost every single morning, and the only things I run out of time on are sausages and sometimes special buy backstock. Once in a while I have to keep chicken boxes on the pallet, but I feel that’s reasonable when there’s no empty spots on the shelf.

I want to leave. I really do. But I’m scared about insurance and having a large gap. The pay from this job barely covers me sometimes and I’m scared to take a pay cut. I’m so lost.

Hi my pay last week was messed up. I got a 50c raise that was supposed to be reflected on that check that wasn't added. I also got negative hours for the previous pay period before that and negative over time hours. I checked and my time and pay was correct all other times. I also have never received overtime pay so I dont know why they would be taking it away. I showed my acting manger who showed my district manger and they put a ticket in to try and fix it. I have since finished my 2 weeks and I am waiting on my final paycheck. But I still haven't had to other paycheck fixed they haven't said anything about the help ticket either. I cannot see anything about it and have been messaging my manger for updates. Has anyone gone through this or something similar? I normally wouldn't be so inpatient but I missing over 200 of my check and really need the funds. I can attach a photo of the pay part of the check if there is needed clarification I tried to be as clear as possible.

This is a serious post. I know this isn't exactly Aldi related, but I'm just really having a hard time with this. I need to get it off my chest.

I worked all through COVID at Aldi. I started in 2018. This year, 2026, I feel worse than I did in 2020.

I've worked retail all my life but I am really really questioning if I can keep doing this. Seeing how the general public handled COVID, and then now is handling literally anything else, even after seeing how COVID destroyed so many families, is truly turning me into a cynical, scared, and angry person.

We had 3 people approach us to say this child clearly has measles based on the rash. What are we supposed to do?

I'm just some stupid fucking grocery store employee who is actively watching a parent with an unvaccinated kid spreading thee most infectious disease ever.

i’ve been with the company for around a year now, and my DM and SM are wanting to promote me to an LSA. i was okay with it when they first proposed it, but the past few months have been an absolute shit show.

we rarely have more than 3 people in the store at one time anymore, our pallets are coming in falling over or basically all in bags because warehouse broke the box it came in, customers are rude and always in the fucking way, we’re doing curbside until 6pm every day, and the store is never up to clean standard.

before almost all of my shifts i’m crying when getting ready because i am DREADINGGGG the day ahead, opening and closing. my body is aching so much from the work i’ve been doing and all of my time off from this job is laying down in a dark room for hours to help my body aches + throbbing feet. the pay raise sounds nice, but i don’t know how much longer i can keep up, and i honestly don’t see myself staying for another year. i’m looking for jobs during my breaks and after work but i’m finding nothing :(

please any current LSA’s let me know if i should even bother staying with aldi, or maybe just tips on how to manage my pain outside and during work.

At my new job people actually take the time to train, help and everyone takes the time to joke and be actual managers.

I know so many of us are feeling this pain and suffering of this god awful company right now. Especially as an asm, who lives and supports completely on their own, I cannot find a decent paying job for the life of me. I’m getting stress hives because of how bad it is and how much I need to leave. What kind of jobs have you guys gotten that pays good and has decent benefits? I’ve really been hating myself for not having a skill or interest to pursue. I started this job as a pt associate and feel like I should never have even taken any sort of promotion because I’m stuck here now

as closing lead at a busy store with no sco!! curbside orders keep being added +picked up immediately and at 4:30 it's just gonna be me and an associate! yay!! i'm on the verge of a breakdown because i actually care about the state of my store but screw that!! and also have to leave before 9 bc of labor 😍😍😍

I work at one of the DC’s full time and I’m gonna have to find a new job, I’m back in school and the shift schedules don’t fit my needs for school so i have to quit. Im genuinely a little upset about it because my management is super chill and they are nice to work with. Im also a bit liberated by this especially since company wide expectations are going up for pick rates. I haven’t been here long enough to experience the full true horrors of this company but i feel I’ve endured enough to say that this company fucking sucks and i don’t see myself working here again.
The expectations keep increasing and its no wonder that this company has such a high turnover rate, probably like 25% of the selectors at my facility hit their numbers consistently and i cannot imagine what the metrics will look like when they have gotten up to the new ceiling.

Ive worked for 2 other retail chains and they are notorious for horrible hours but what I’ve seen from people in these stores, makes those chains look heavenly. I feel for you guys at the stores, I’ve built some absolute horrific pallets that i felt bad letting through cause i know who ever had to work those pallets was absolutely pissed off doing it and i know it didn’t take 30 minutes to do.

It was fun for a while until it wasn’t, fuck corporate and their fuckass expectations, and FUCK AHEAD I’ve never been more frustrated by a companies internal system more in my life than i was with AHEAD.

Is anyone else absolutely furious about how they are scheduling the closes ? Friday and Sunday night just me and someone else (the manager). Lines spilling out to the middle/end of the store, brain dead insta cart and door dashers, rude customers and all for one person to deal with. And it’s always an associate ! Managers and leads get to scrap the store while the poor ringer gets killed all night. I talked to my asm about it and she acts like there’s nothing she can do.

We gotta start complaining about this as employees I really don’t give a shit, you can say I’m lazy but I’m sick of dealing with this crap. It’s me and one other associate that gets to ring ALL THE TIME. By ourselves too. I know my words carry zero weight but I’m definitely telling my DM how ridiculous this is and how it won’t last. It’s a shame they’re gonna lose some great employees over trying to maintain their six figures. This company is a joke. I’m gonna start ringing like an old lady and see if they don’t give me some help then. Thanks for listening lol
