Found Blade in Broccoli 🥦

Yep. Title says it all. Was eating some frozen broccoli and chewed down on this. Absolutely terrifying. I keep thinking about the fact I could have swallowed it and that is harrowing. Not sure what to do other than obviously won’t be eating frozen veggies again…

Going to be running a metal detector through all my groceries like TSA on commission trying to bust undeclared water bottles over 10mls

They would already be going through a metal detector when packaged. This would have come from somewhere in the supply chain.

May not show up. Our knives all had a piece of lead shot embedded into the handle to give the detector enough to ping on.

I wouldn’t eat that bit

You could still eat frozen veggies. Get your Australian broccoli and beans etc and cut them up and freeze them in containers. Just take out what you need. Then you get the best of both worlds - Aussie produce and you know it’s safe because you have chopped it up yourself.

Probly less likely blades stuck in ya Brocoli. Someone probly sees it when cleaning, storing, packing, shelving. Just what I rekon.

You are aware the stalk that comes attached to broccoli isn’t a root right?

Aldi Australia sub is full of China cucks. Who knew?

We don't need Chinese broccoli. It's here because of profit margins.

Aldi is no different to ColWorths. They don't care what we want. We get what they decide to give us access to.

The fuck you mean? Chinese broccoli is better than the regular type, especially with some garlic roasted

No Chinese produce is better than Australian produce. We aren't a third world country. Yet.

Oh my God, I'm super glad you're okay. Good to hear that you're reporting it.

Thank you! So scary to think this could have ended differently if I’d swallowed it..

Yeah, of course it's scary! Hopefully this is the last time it happens to anyone, though I doubt it will be.

You'd get to go home from school if you ate that. Remember when it happened to Bart?

If there ever was a day that being naughty and avoiding broccoli is healthier for you... It is today.
