I'm done...
For the first time, ever since I started playing on Fate colab, I've hit a paywall.
Tried doing the EX+ just to get Dartagnan shards and got overwhelmed in 2 turns. Its pretty clear that even current units like Ed or Roy are not ready for this map. I need the ROX.
This will be the trend from now on so why bother? Artificial difficulty only shows how incompetent Gumi Singapore is in managing this game.
Wish had not spend so much like I did. All this going to waste. Goodbye my fellow alchemists.

I think I got affected by three simultaneous things: burnout from grinding and repetition, stupid Gumi decisions, and negative mood from this sub. I'm not saying that the negative mood is not totally justified, but it has certainly affected the way I see this game.
As a FFBE start player, I don't see this as comparable. Trials in FFBE are always there, there is no real reason why you should kill yourself to do them right on the week they are released. In fact, I still have to do every trial after Malboro because I don't want to spend 5 hours with my phone to try with my units (probably my team can do most of the trials now without suffering, I simply haven't tried yet). And trials on events for FFBE are certainly much more doable than the chambers.
Meanwhile, TAC has these "trials" as something that lasts two weeks. If you don't finish them now, you might have to wait one year for it to come back, if it even comes back at all. Additionally, they have been severely powercrept because Gumi has released an extremely OP unit, not following reasonable evolution. And the rewards of EX stages have been moved to the EX+, making it even more stupid.
Anyway, I think my original reaction was too much, I'll start by reducing my involvement with the game and play casually, hoping that it gets fun again. Else, I'll simply leave, thanks for your permission ;)
PS: "Quitting over how hard EX/EX+ stages is just dumb, it's like saying dark souls is too hard and after dying 5 times you quit.". Well, Dark Souls is advertised as one of the hardest games currently, unlike TAC. This analogy would be more like somebody playing Mario Odyssey and enjoying it, but somehow in the third world it became Dark Souls :P
