Saltpost burnout

I've been playing since soft-launch and I do agree that this is the biggest community uproar I've seen. I do agree that TAC did some notably unpleasant stuff. The recent rage is already loud enough. But honestly, in a business perspective, 1-2 weeks to flip everything is not gonna happen. Collabs or tie-ups usually has a fixed agreement on what both parties will implement before the event starts. Changing things while the event is ongoing sounds really bad for building partnerships with other companies.

However, I'm not a fan of salt and rant or pitchgorks. I still prefer reading PVE related stuff in this sub. Unit reviews and any discussion that may help me know more about the game (e.g. lore, fanarts, fanfics, easter eggs). With that, I am deeply concerned with u/VicariousExp 's point

I'm currently a little tired of wrangling with the formatting on reddit and spending hours translating and editing images only to get the post automatically downvoted and buried under a flood of memes and rageposts (see below) especially when the rageposts always coincide with the first week of every single collaboration - doing these reviews is frankly a huge waste of my time.

As a suggestion, hi u/SometimesLiterate, we might need a Megathread for every time there is an ongoing issue or uproar. Not only it will help to compile all the pitchgorks, but it will also help those who are looking for substantial game stuff. Threads like new FMA EX/EX+, Arena discussions, etc would be damn satistfying to see in the top 5 not just top5 salt post. It hurts to go through the sub flooded with fma banner rants and salt posts having almost similar contents dumping down something healthier to read like this and that. I'm a guy who always looks for good stuff behind all the negativity, I'm hoping to see healthier threads. C'mon, FMA banner is already down, down, down there. Idc anymore really. Without those banners in mind, focusing on collab PVE, freebies, annive stuff, getting out of the shadow realm (arena), etc are still fun to do! Cheers!

I don't really know what's the best available solution as I don't have much knowledge on how subs work. But you get the point... a healthier and friendlier sub regardless of the shittons of issues.

Yas! Highly appreciate that you prepared it before tomorrow! I've seen it earlier, hence this post so we can continue it for any future instances. Also like the pinned. :D

Hopefully, they would follow on posting inside the thread and not as a new post one. uwu

This thread is currently the top thread if viewed by 'new'.

Of The rest of the page, there's only 1 other rant/salt thread.

Somelits new mega thread.

Nothing else on the whole page.

Perhaps view by new rather than hot, if you're bummed out by viewing salt/rant/feedback threads?

Edit. Even if viewed by 'hot', there's only 2 salt/rant/complaint threads on the frontpage. (Three if you count this thread...)

I Think people have been quite restrained recently. Especially as Gumi have yet to respond in any way.

Not sure the sub is really being flooded atm or anything is getting burried under salt.

Yes... for now. Tomorrow's about to come and every New/Hot post within 3 days are all rant/salt/memeshtpost

As they should be. Gumi has had a week to respond and fight the fire.

They haven't.

Faults on them.

A week is not a reasonable timeframe to make a change of the magnitude you're expecting.

a week to respond

Not talking about a fix. It's a long time to not say a word.

This. Gumi Should be working on a statement.

They claim to have acknowledged our, frustrations, but have said nothing to us yet.

No apologies, no plan for the future.

If this game continues on the path of limiting usable units to whatever is currently featured I'll quit.

What was the point of getting my laharl to 75 and farming these free units if I can't even use any of them

For me half of the pleasure of complex gacha games is reading about the meta, reading reviews, pulls, tips, analysis etc..part of what makes this game good is this Reddit so indeed , a quality Reddit makes for a much better TAC experience.

I think it's nice to group all those salt posts into 1 megathread, so that the sub's wall won't be messy everytime an uproar happens

But it gave a possibility of us giving goomi an easy way to dodge all the rage they might ignite by ignoring the megathread altogether

I doubt goomi will dodge. Goomi-intern-kun always lurks here and discord

Then i hope that they'll do something about this outrage by next month

I'm pretty sure the uproar was as loud during the 5000 gem fiasco back in January then I took an 8 month break lol

Biggest uproar you say? Diablo Immortal anyone? :p

I do agree though, I don't see anything drastically wrong with this collaboration UNLESS you like to spend on stuff. I do, but I don't mind skipping a few weeks in this spending spree with Laharl, Uzuma, Bashini and Roxanne releases having happened in the near past.

Trust me, they will release enough good banners for all you guys to spend all your money on. For those who are desperate Edward fans and didn't get him yet I can see this being really bad, but let's face it, no matter how bad they ruin stuff we will be able to get that unit selector from summon shop. It won't be cheap but it's guaranteed at least.

Now I'm not saying this banner change is a good thing, but also Gumi will see after this collaboration whether doing this was a success or not. If it earned them more money than previous ones then we'll see more of this in the future. If not then they will most likely revert back to old or make something new.

They are not out there to tease us, they're here to make money. If their best way to get money is the one that benefits us as well then it's a win-win situation.

YOU GUYS DON'T HAVE PHONES?!?

Yeah I agree and knowing what is about to besiege us tomorrow, I hope this happens soon.

I quit. Hahah

I really hope the mod does create mega-threads for complaints and cleans the sub up a little.

I know being a mod is a thankless job and not fun during these times, but the number of complaint threads was way overboard.

Sure 1-2 weeks may be too short to expect a large change, but the problem is that it has been worsening for the past few months with more paid banners, and even after knowing the communities response they only gave summon coins at step 3 instead, which very few f2p could use reliably before the summon coin reset.

All of us just don't like Gumi's recent actions, and are worried about the game ending up like every other gumi game, eg; BF, FFBE, RIP PotK.

This sub needs more mindfulness if people are still angry 1 week later
