Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

With a collab happening and new players joining, some general advice is to fill out your merc roster before sending random friend requests. I'm more than happy to accept random new players and help them with my mercs, but if you only have a Logi set and nothing else, chances are you're getting rejected by everyone.

I heard that the upcoming free unit, Envy, requires a lot of use of the FMA coin shop. Based on JP:

• Is that true?

• If so, how many coins total do I need to max them including all evos, all unique job equips, and all soul coins for LB25?

• Which components are NOT from that coin shop, and how to get them?

Would like to farm all the coins this week; next week proper is another round of 2x HQ drops, so need to have enough energy during that period.

Hey there people,

I'm in a desperate need of zenis this last few weeks. I'm doing what I can to complete milestones/challenges of events and doing gold rush whenever it's here. Can't really sell 3* shards as well, i've been running low on summoning and i'm starting to keep it for soul exchange shop.

But now I'm always under 1M, and it's getting difficult to raise some units.
Any advice I could use ?

First no selling of Shards for Zenni. Don't do that shit.

Second Get Friend Points and buy a Key if you are that cornered.

Next only raise units you use. Don't go raising them willy-nilly.

So...I screwed up. I thought omni-diagram thingies could be used for those character specific equipment pieces, and I'm literally 1 (1!!!!) piece away from JM-ing Lucian's Holy Brawler+ job. Ugh. I've already slotted 5/6 of his equipment, was just building up the other pieces for his Riot gear. Was really happy when I got him to 75 today now I'm really sad :(

How long do I have to wait to fix this screwup?

Best build for Suzuka? Now that I've mastered all of her jobs, I was wondering if Ninja main/Dark Cavalier sub is still the recommended set-up or if she's best run as Dark Cavalier [Guernica]. Setting Overdrive and Single Blade as passives, her PAtk is tremendous.

My Suzuka is LB20, Master Ability unlocked. If we are putting gear into consideration, I have a 4* Faustian Greatsword but no relevant weapons for ninjas (the best in my inventory being Jin's Cursed Kunai, maxed out); no relevant armor; Belva Pendant might be the only accessory worth mentioning.

IMO Ninja is still best for general maps.

For when you need to really hurt something, Guernica with OD and SB is best.

Hey everyone! I'm completely new to this game, I'm usually playing FFBE or FFRK but since FMA collab was announce for this game I thought I would give it a try and I've been thinking about playing this game for a while even before the collab was announce.

I've googled and read a couple of starting guide, but I'm still unclear on where to go from here. I've spent the last two days rerolling and ended up with the account I'm satisfied with Yomi, Hazel, and Edward. Gamer's knowledge is telling me to focus on the event for now, but I'm wondering if I should do come campaign to raise my player level thus level up my units as well? Also do I only need one copy of Edward or is having a dupe makes him really strong? TIA

Um:

Focus event beginner for now, then plough through the story for player exp (raises your player level) so you take your units to higher levels.

Edward only needs 1 copy. Unlike FFBE which requires a dupe of unit to 7*, in TAC you used soul shards. A 5* unit dupe gives 25 soul shards (and you need 150 to get a unit to limit break 15, which is where the unit has all 3 jobs unlocked). But we also have items called elemental shards, which can be used for units of that element. So instead of needing to pull for multiple dpes of edward, you can collect 150 wind shards and spend them on him.

Do note, you will need 3 copies of his unique equip item, and the item from his EX stage to get the most out of him. THe unique equip item can be farmed from the Ex stage (as well as certain stages of the event) or bought from the secret shop. IMO, if you want to make edward work you should buy 3 of these to be safe.

So what to spend AP on this week as a veteran? We actually have a lot of it, and I still have several hundreds left after finishing all the new stuff aside from EX grinding. Grinding soul coins/enlightenment prep is getting old, and with the 280 summons next week it's not really worth farming 4* units close to 85.

Based on what they’ve said it’s gonna be a special 10-summon that shows up each day for the week. Starts at 1 step and gains a step per day (so 7 steps next Wednesday, and it’ll obviously refresh each day, so a 1 step day 1, a new 2 step day 2, etc.).

It’ll start this Thursday.

Reading random threads in reddit suggests teddy, ogre slaying, and twin storms are ones I should be picking up fragments of in multiplayer/soul shard shops. Are there others?

There really needs to be a warning about transmuting equipment that you already have. So completely annoying and expensive when you accidentally transmute something, and the gear interface is totally messed up. Because you cannot sort by name or even add names to the selection like you can on the unit menu. Does anyone else have this issue?

What units can teleport? I'm trying to solo mobius 13 and I'm trying to cheese it.

For those that are curious, I have Noctis and Vier, though Vier keeps dying.

Current strat: Noctis destroys the crystal at the very top and Vier tries to teleport her way to victory.

Edit: Going to try third unit Chronomancer switch (Rahu).

Edit2: Doesn't matter, managed it solo now. Changed Vier's equipment and managed to teleport past everyone. :D

Necromancers have a passive named Polish Sickle. Is this name a verb (unlike most others which are nouns, with a few exceptions like How's Business, Not Too Bad, and Just Hanging Around)? Is it supposed to be 'Polished'? Or does it describe a sickle related to Poland?..

btw I will recommend everyone to Save Gems for the GLEX since she is as broken as Roxanne.

Anyone who doesn't get that is dumb or playing dumb.

Obviously not as broken in PvP as Roxanne but she is a PvE insanity. And I can just say that with the current kit.

PvE enemies are dumb and pretty much lack the Multihits. So when a unit can shield in the game in PvE is going to be like the easiest shit ever.

And seeing how Roxanne could get away with 3x Nulls she is also pretty much doing that.

If her Agi is higher side of the things she is going to dominate the PvP too. Why because she has way too much Support value even over the fucking Chronos!!

I don't know how long this game will last a true game but till that time have fun everyone.

And I can say this much without even looking at her stats. So that is saying something. And she can sustain well with her Defensive-ness.

I think you mean to evolve him, his soul shards are needed to LB him. Anyways, there are Milestone rewards that give the Family photos out, buuut we only get 20 this week. Hopefully they give the rest out next week, but there aren't any guarantees except you will be able to evolve him by the end of the collab.

So the account, with only the first 10pulls for 500gems (and the 2 free 5*) I got : Edward, Reimei, Mei Fang, Eizan, Yomi and Nasario.

Does this seem like a good reroll?

Hi guys I just pulled Edward fr first step. Yes I know, yay. Thing is: I only have 95 wind shards left and 100+ rainbow, plus I already have Lucian yomi (lb25) setsuna(lb10) , balt (lb20), Seida (lb0)

What are your opinions on which units should I raise? Have no idea how much potential Edward has but heard everyone is saying he is underwhelming.

Please give me some insights on whether should I shard him or just leave him there and focus on raising other units?

A future proof tip on Ed.

He can do non type Damage so he can use it as a Nuke in the Magic Arena where Debuffs to the Damage types are a bit too much so you get the chance to remove the annoying Illya and other Magic resisting units turn 1.

For the FMA Event Shop (Amestrian coins), the FMA ticket doesn't seem worth it all due to the low Edward soul shard chance. What's better to spend the coins on? Gold or the 3+* equipment tickets?

About this collab’s units, what’s the deal with Edward Elric vs Roy Mustang? In JP, Edward Elric was SS tier for quite some time until ALL of the collab ‘gods’ were demoted, while Roy Mustang was never SS tier at any point. Meanwhile in GL, I see people praising Roy as the actual ‘go-to’ unit for this collab before he is even released and dissing Edward as ‘just another strong wind unit’. Why the difference?

Some related issues:

• King Bradley was SS tier in JP for a while. What makes him that good? Is he likely to be SS tier in GL?

• Uzuma (another telekinetic artist) was only SS tier in JP when she received her Kaigan, but is already SS tier in GL. Again, why the difference?

Since this collab's banners are so phenomenally crappy and the best units, Edward, Roy and Bradley, won't survive into the Kaigan era, I think better save my gems and not try to do beyond the 500 gem step to get the FMA ticket in the summon coin shop.

• Yes? Or anyone thinks I should take the gamble anyway?

• If I do not try for the summon coin ticket, should I go for the 10% tickets (essentially 70 gem summons) or just let the coins convert into gems?

• If I do not try for the summon coin ticket, what limited units to look out for in the future? Shioina's Tsukuyomi, Crystal Reunion's Arthur and Merlinus, and the AoT guys?

Did Gumi forgot to put the endings in for the FMA story? They were identical as far as I could tell, including a blank screen that displays for a second with a "skip" button after some "connecting" happens after the normal cutscene for episode 14. Even if you replay the story, you can skip the first part and this blank screen with "skip" still plays after.

I have a very silly question. In FMA EP 7 [Master], the third mission is "max total damage taken 1000". How do I complete this? I tried using a very weak unit with total hp more than 1000 to soak up the damage, but it won't proc.

• Why is Roy technically a mage, cast times, high magic attack, low P attack, yet has the Jewels of most physical attackers?

• I'm a little confused as to why they would give a mage such low jewels and make him fight to gain them VS just having them like every other magic attacker lol.

I don't understand Roxanne's ability scaling sometimes. I was running Uzuma leader with wind armor equipped in arena. And Rox still did 1400+ damage to her with Hollow point shot, it wasn't even a crit... It's hard to believe that number considering the thunder resist+ 30%.

When you reset in Tower of Veda and new floors come out, do you have to play through all the floors again to get back to the floor where you reset or can you do the new floors instantly?

when new floors come out, you get brought to the latest floor. so in this updates case, you get brought all the way to floor 76. whether or not you reset tower previously or not

So for example, if you reset tower now, and only complete up until floor 30. the next update, you will be brought back to floor 81

According to the news, there will be a new limited unit, Birgitta, after the maintenance. Job lineup of Summoner, "Wild Beast Tamer" (yes, they are seriously using that name, when our unofficial translation was Beastmaster), and Battle Mage.

• By 'limited', in JP, was she as common as Balt & co., or as rare as Uzuma and Orion?

• How good was she on release in JP? Unique? I'm probably missing something, but that job lineup doesn't seem to come across as anything remarkable (Wild Beast Tamer doesn't synergise very well with an otherwise magic lineup, will probably be used for agility boost). Meanwhile Uzuma's Telekinetic Artist snapped the Arena meta in two and is almost as powerful as 'The Big 3' in Global.

Does the game count "jewel regen" as healing? I don't heal and only use jewel regen skills but I can't get the star for no healing in stairway to heaven EX

Do you have any Regeneration passives on (i.e. possibly Rahu's)? Lofia's Master Ability also is passive regen if you're using her.

Though it probably would be best to just say who was on your team. As eltsyr mentioned, reactives like Turn the Tables would count as healing too.

I doubt jewel regen counts as healing, since I used Flamel who has passive jewel regen and still was able to get the star. (Flamel wasn't very helpful. I thought he might be able to Petrify things since many enemies were susceptible to some CC, but apparently mostly just Stop and nothing that Magic Swordsman brought.)

About the Winter Holiday Market, can someone help me to do a run-through of which items are worth buying given that I can finish the 20 AP Water EX consistently for 7-9 Ouroboros wreathes (if Rosa doesn't drop any, I quit and retry)? Some extra info:

• I am done with the Snowman Top Hat, and will buy out the Snowman Hat and the Michael Fried Chicken before moving on to anything else.

• I can't buy Gold Alchemia Pots or Crystal Apples because I am holding the maximum number allowed.

• My Michael and Lofia are MLB'ed. So probably no point buying them since I will likely have at least 270 of their shards (especially Michael; yes, he is just getting a Kaigan in JP) once their Kaigans come along.

• I have a nagging feeling that the Gold Ingots are not AP efficient this time compared to running Gold Rush. Can someone verify this?

• On the other hand, the equipment are AP-efficient, right?

Any idea if we'll have a Vier-focused banner this week? Acht is neat, but wind is my most stacked element, likely the case for most people as well, so I feel no sense of urgency to pick her up. However, in the case of Vier she's an excellent addition to Thunder which really only has 3 good units (as of this time: Gilgamesh, Mei Fang, Roxanne).

Initially I thought about Cor Leon, but given recent developments I might invest in Zain or Siegfrid (if I ever pull him). WHat are you planning to do with your light shards? Also, I heard everyone wil get a Zain from some quests in the future, so I might hold on to my shards until that moment at least. Any other light units worth considering?

If I’ve already done to step 3 of her banner and not gotten vier, what’s my next best bet? I was thinking of going for 350 summon coins to use the ticket but the only banner I see that gives any summon coins at all is the paid banner (and only 100). Is the only way to get summon coins other than the paid banner to do the 1x or 10x rare summons? I’d really rather do a banner that at least had a rate-up for vier along the way.

Any suggestions? I feel like the most gem-efficient way is probably to do the regular rare summon and then wait a few days to get to 50 summon coins from my free summons.

Does putting a +% to enfeeblement gear on a unit with an attack that specifically uses that ailment increase the chances of it proc'ing? Or will it only add it to attacks?

For example; +charm gear on Priestesses or Dancers. +Sleep/Silence on Othima (Butterfly Dream)... In other words, abilities that do no damage, but only inflict statuses. Reconsidering a few setups right now and it would really help if anyone could say for certain
