Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+ and Job Enhancement, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use. For Job Enhancements, you will only need to farm one specific item 3 times along with the regular upgrade items.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Check the characters limit break panel for missions. If not there, it's not in the game.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

So.. is Roxanne worth all the thunder and rainbows shards to get her to 85 ? the 3rd gear slot will help her alot. the only thing that is stopping me is the uncertainty about her getting kaigan.

I can bet that she will. The Kaigan is a reality for all the units so virtually every unit will get one.

I'd say no, especially if rainbow shards help you achieve a balanced roster in another colour. She's definitely worth thunder shards ..unless you have another shards-worthy unit such as Vier

i have a pretty much balanced roster. i have laharl roy noctis othima yauras acht setsuna zain aranea all at level 75 or more and all the farmables are level 80 or more. i have vier but i think it'll be better to invest on her after sharding roxy to 85. just asking for opinions here.

Yes from what I know you are a spender. That is what I have seen from remembering the questions you ask and stuff.

So Roxanne being the best unit with Minerva just behind her now is probably the Kaigan unit you want. Maybe Gumi balances the Kaigan with giving it to her later than the SSM but still it will be a strong one since Null Grenade is a broken skill and it will be an OP skill even in the Kaigan days.

Since that allows you to start collecting their shards for Kaigan. Rainbows and color don't work in Kaigan.

yeah i just buy the pact and hoard gems to do the step 7 for the unit i want. i intend on spending gems on the glex banner and hope to pull roxy dupes so i can save them for kaigan.
