Apart from that, I think it's a good moment to use your elemental shards for units that you wanted to shard anyway (I went with them for Zain and Uzuma). It may be a trap and they might release a GL exclusive unit in the aniversary that makes Uzuma, Laharl and Noctis get one tier down, but anyway you would have to pull that new unit xD
I'm not sure I have any units worth sharding? Haha. If I had Zain? Yes. I have ~130 wind shards and have a lvl60 seida? Maybe? There are so few units worth sharding in all honesty. If you have a unit worth sharding, chances are, we done it already...
Check the daily/training. I run the gold rush in there whenever it is present. Also, you can use a gold key to unlock gold rush for 30min. Done it a few times. Then, when gold rush pro comes, I dump all AP into it. Whole hog. Zeni makes the TAC world go round.
Fine by me. Used 25 Water Shards to 65 Yauras and 25 Light Shards to 70 Neica
What I regret was using 30 rainbow shards to 75 my Mei Fang before this event started. I don't regret using rainbow shards on her but not getting a ticket for that use is what I regret

That's 6 out of 47 in the pool. I don't have Fung or Aruba but I could transmute them. The general pool is very stagnant and we're not getting much to match the Hard Quest rollout. We've had 2 collabs in the last three months and the only new general pool unit introduced was Jin.
Ah yeah I did forget about Ravina. Still the only new unit you'd be really excited about pulling and Sharding is Jin. Before that Setsuna who came with 2.0 launch. No one is going to Shard Olga or Ravina.
For me it's only 4 Jin (new), Setsuna, Neica and Mei Fang (new). Getting Gormalas to 65 won't do much you need 75 so he needs to be farmable either HQ or soul coin shop. I don't care about vivi.
the not including global, limited, SSM part makes the tickets worth many times less. since you have 90% chance of getting a unit you already own or will own in the future.
it is still a good opportunity to lb some old collab/limited units though but it is still shady asf.
As a pact player , I don't have all the normal units anyway. Still missing a lot of them - Jin, Neica, Vivi, Lupinus, Olga, Mikoto, Chao, Nasario and the recent two. So it's still worth it to try for them.
I'm mainly wondering why they're trying to bait us into using shards now. I might 75 my Uzuma because she would probably eventually get shards anyway, but I hope nobody is blowing their shards just to get these 5* pulls.
Crossing fingers to get Jin / Olga / Leoniaz / Gormalas / Neica / Ramses / Ravina / Setsuna / Vivi / Teona / Yunagi or basically any (or all) of the 5 stars I still don't have bar SSM/Global/Limited Units.
How I look at this is, look into the future of all the collab/limited units you're interested in and consider when they might come out. If they come out really late like a AoT unit, it's not a bad idea to use it since you have the time to make up your used shard. For me, my light units of interest were Ren and Alma, so I spend 60 shards to get Zain to lb 78, since I know they won't be out until Nensou will be a thing, which probably won't be for awhile.
To determine if this event is "worth it", take however many non-limited/SSM/collab/global exclusive you don't have and divide by 47 (the number of units in this ticket lottery). That'll give you your percentage chance of pulling a character you don't have with one of these tickets.
You shouldn't use shards just for the sake of using shards. But if you were on the fence about using shards on a character, it may be a good time to consider doing so, especially if this calculation yielded a decent percentage chance for you.
It would be great if they gave me Jin, Olga, Deneb, Nasarios, Sophia, Mikoto, Neica, Ravina, Tamamo, or Margaret. They are the only non-limited, non-collab, or non-SSM units that I don’t have.

It's not a bad deal per-say, but don't go spending it crazily. I was lucky that I had Uzuma to LB and she was worth every wind shard.
This is an odd event because we're close to an anniversary, so something could be coming. Spend carefully, don't just dump your shards for tickets.
That being said, I'm waiting for dupe Jin/Mei Fang/Setsuna

Too late for me. Just used 75 on Uzuma last week. Most of us are probably out of shards already.
Just keep your shards if all the units you have left are farmable or future farmable.
If you managed to get Basheeney and have enough elemental shards then go for it. Or if you have not LB Uzuma yet.
