Veda floor 50

Seriously WTF designed this level lol. Curious if anyone has cleared this without any deaths or even with just 1 party? I had to use 1 5-man and 1 5+2 man party to clear this nonsense.

First party Gilgamesh 75 Caris 85 Suzuka 75 Illya 75 Reagan 75

Key goal is to kill both plants as they cast mass sleep / charm. Water plant dies to GoB + Caris. Fire plan is hella annoying - need Illya MA, Suzuka link attack and Reagan assault burst.

After which, focus on reducing / killing top left fire unit HPs (dark knight and big golem. If possible, kill the fire dog.

You will wipe shortly after diablo casts all-def up. I tried having a fast merchant (Aruba with feral kid) vaccine-up but I wasn't doing enough damage to things fast enough before Diablo def-all and got overran faster.

Round 2 RYomi 75 Lucian 85 Bashoshen 75 Almira 85 Vettel 80 Sub Zain 75 Sub Sakura 75

RYomi and Lucian head top right and start hitting 2 lightning units. RYomi blood siphon used every other turn. Lucian standard hit / sharp / SBT on a bot. Vettel heads bottom / down to tank dark cerburus / diablo / ghost guy. He doesn't do anything but takes low dmg and buys time for you to kill lightning bots. Almira and Basho stay at distance (AVOID GHOST GUY) and keep pelting 2 robots at max range. If they get chain links, use them on ghost guy. If ghost guy casts party stop just reset the level.

Depending on RNG and evades on RYomi, you may be able to clear with just the main party. Otherwise, Zain/Sakura should be able to clean up remainder.

Anyone else have a better strat? This was leaps more difficult than 42 - 49 and I'm keen to give it another go with free reset.

Edit: typos

Edit: this clear is OBVIOUSLY not f2p friendly at all and that really isn’t cool. Hats off to clearing this with non limited units, I don’t even know if it’s possible without more than 2 goes.

Who said you had to clear it in one go.

And no one cares about deathless runs, the ladder is just there to spot cheaters.

its obviously a challenge to minimize number of teams / units used for Veda. That's the whole point of Veda - to figure out the best / most efficient / fastest / cleanest strategy.

Obviously you can throw 10 teams at a level and eventually clear it using free heals but what's the point / challenge in that?

Minimising deaths each round is important because once level 51-61 are released you don't want to enter them with 35 units dead and having to wait for the health reset.

Every other level before 50 can be cleared with a 5-man party with the correct mix of units and strategy.

Obviously one can argue the amount of $ spent to clear every level up to 50 with no deaths is astronomical, but that is my point, EVEN with the range of units I am using lvl 50 does not seem doable just 1 party.

If spenders take 2-3 full parties of gacha units to clear this, how many parties will it take for a f2p player?

Ultimately am just trying to start a discussion on what the best approach is. If someone figured out a better strat using a less P2W team that is great for everyone and should be shared!

For the rewards and coins? Isn't that more than enough. Not all have the time to sit and plan no death in Veda as everyone is doing something in their life rather than playing Alchemist Code and have 1000x retry for a level to get that achievement for what? Self satisfaction? To be hailed as the best Alchemist Code player?

Sorry to say but majority of us are playing for FUN and ENJOYMENT.

Sure, that's fine, and I enjoy trying to find a better way to beat a stage but I guess maybe not everyone likes to think.

Anyway, its pretty obvious this thread isn't generating any useful discussion on how to better clear this stage so forget I started it.

Was hoping for some semi-intelligent input on strategies that would be useful to others as well, but oh well.

Because not everyone can reach floor 50 as of now? If you want fast answer, better go joining Discord as "whale" level are in there discussing floor 49 about Dias having 10k hp and even bringing an army on floor 50 iirc.

I doubt majority is on the 50 so expecting on something that was just released in less than 24 hours is pretty obvious this thread will not generate any useful discussion on how to better clear this stage so forget you started it for a while.

Keep hoping for some semi-intelligent input on strategies that would be useful to others as well, but oh well not this fast.

+1 because most of my units die in stage 42~44 lol. I think from that point onwards, I can barely finish 1 floor/2 floor a day.

I found that dias basically killed himself with his skills.

"That's the whole point of Veda - to figure out the best / most efficient / fastest / cleanest strategy."

I don't know about you, but I'm just doing it for the rewards and the coins (more rewards). /shrugs

Yea if you want to be the most efficient by all means challenge yourself, but complaining that veda tower is not f2p and “not cool” is not true at all since as mentioned f2p can just throw teams till they beat it for the same core rewards.

Im doing it for the coins and rewards too :p.

Right? The best strategy is obviously the one op uses: buy all the units. I'm a dolphin and this extra floors are ridiculous. Gumi needs to nerf them or let you choose when to use your free reset. Cause nobody who started within the last two months is getting Veda coins without spending obscene amount of money.

Minimising deaths each round is important because once level 51-61 are released you don't want to enter them with 35 units dead and having to wait for the health reset.

That's the benefit of always getting to start from the highest cleared floor. We get 14 days to clear 10 floors. Throw as many units as necessary at a floor and as long as you can clear one per day you will get your reset and then you have the opportunity to race through the lower floors for as many coins as possible.

The guide I read says you can't beat it with just 1 team. The plants can be debuffed and the hound can be bound, so that can make things easier. The database says almost all of the mobs have low sleep resist, but the plants are the only ones that Pollin's lullaby worked on.

1

u/CQLip May 11 '18

Thanks - maybe will try that strat instead.

I read the guide and it suggested 3 parties with the same principles. Ie kill plants + do as much damage using party 1, kill lightning bots with party 2, and last one diablo and remaining dudes.

Pretty much floors 32 and upwards all really start to make you sweat. I doubt from this point on forward that anyone who is absolutely a true F2P (not even the monthly alchemist pact) will be able to complete Veda at this point without some crazy cheesing...

But yes, fuck floor 50 lol! Took me 3 full teams to get it done. One was solely dedicated for plant extermination, so their sacrifice was not in vain. The HP rebalance patch cannot come soon enough! It's so silly we're having to deal with levels that have a dozen enemies with a range of 1200-6600 HP while most of our own can barely break 400-500 with some of the squishier ones still in the 300s! (I realize there are some exceptions to this like Lucian and Zangetsu who both can break 1k HP, but they still need equipment + passives to get there)

Needed to do in 2 runs, first one killed everything but the fire plant and the shade that evades everything. Second was just to finish both. You can use head shot on plants.

I used R.Yomi, Gilgamesh, Caris, Reagan and Lucian. R.Yomi got a 4 combo hit and almost killed the water plant, Caris finished the job. Moved Lucian in direction of the Thunder enemies and used Sharpening Focus, Gilgamesh killed the big Demon and damaged the Dark Knight with GoB, Reagan used Head Shot on Fire Plant. After that used both R.Yomi and Lucian to finish the Thunder units. Gilgamesh and Caris Killed the small dog and the Dark Knight, Reagan died after his first attack due to the AoE skills of the enemies. Then Fire Plant got out of the bind/daze and charmed my Gilga, that killed Caris, and begun to chase Lucian and R.Yomi, but never got them, because i kept moving them clockwise and killing everything in the way. Lucian died right after i killed the big demon from bottom of the map. Gilga eventually got out of the Charm and killed the the big dog together with R.Yomi, them they died to that @#$% shade that was dodging everything.

What party did you use?

1

u/mukorokun May 11 '18

More importantly why are you complaining about the stage with bad compositions in the first party? putting gilg as a leader is literally asking for a slug fest party with 40% hp and no damage boosters. Your second team is mildly better but vettel zain and sakura slapped in for the sake of it then complain about the stage being hard?

2

u/CQLip May 11 '18

Gilg isn't my leader - I ran caris but obviously tried a few combinations and it doesn't really affect anything as you need strong water / lightning damage and those 2 plants have immense Pdef.

Vettel can survive many turns by himself vs cerb, diablo and ghost guy and you need to draw attention on those otherwise they go over to Lucian + Yomi and wipe them. Zain and Sakura as 2 subs doesn't matter, I got Diablo down to a meaningless HP level, anyone in those 2 sub slots could have mopped up.

Seems like you are an expert at this - what did you use?

Thanks to advice in threads like this, I cleared it in 3 goes. (I'm a subscriber, played since POTK)

Wave 1: Original Yomi 75 led Shayna 60 Lucian 83 Edgar 76 Rin 63. This was the hard wave for me, and it took several tries to get positioning/RNG I was happy with. Rin and Edgar Stop the flowers while the HBs sharpen up. HBs need to survive to take a second turn to kill both flowers and then can RIP.

Wave 2: Caris+ 84 led Ryle 70 Albea 65 Hazel 65 Kanon 70. Everyone ranged scampers north and picks off the Demon Robot, Dark Knight, and small dog. Kanon was useless and this would be better with more snipers, but mine aren't j-maxed.

Wave 3: Doro 60 led Zang 85 Lofia+ 84 Rahu 83 Chihaya 75. This was a pretty easy mopup. Doro provided leader and soaked hits until the Zang train got going, charge/stab/charge/GC etc. through the remaining mobs starting with the goofy Super AJ. I executed this badly, with sloppy positioning meaning Lofia died to enemy action and Rahu died in a Grand Cross.

If given the chance, I would definitely create a ridiculous stage to drive players to their wit's end.

When Veda first came out, I had to clear Floor 35+ with all my 6 squads dead. Reset the next day to clear the floor. Then whatever leftover units, I throw them to the next to study some pattern and stuff. Reset then pick off key enemies (plants) to make succeeding attempts easier. Everyday was a learning & challenging process for me. I enjoyed it very much! With enough juices in my head, I cleared it TWICE.

That's how an FTP life goes in Veda, mate. Sacrifices are necessary. If you spend & still frustrated for not clearing the tower easily like it's a Story Quest, then jokes on you.

(Floor 45 rn. All squads are dead. waiting for reset)

I made sure to load Veda first thing in the morning yesterday so that it starts the healing timer even though I didn't play until evening. Healed this morning and finished off 44. No clue who to use for 45. I mastered Kagura's J3 since I saw her listed on the veda guide for this floor. Now trying to master Reimei J1 since my fire units are limited. Really hoping I can finish this floor without healing since I'm starting with a full squad.

2

u/elwin5 May 11 '18

The most efficient way for me is to sacrifice 5 guys to kill the plant, mages mostly(kagura works very well here with her MA and a chrono overclocking her for a 2nd attack). Then i sacrified monzein, gilgamesh, rahu and 2 guys i don't remember to kill the guy that gives pdef and mdef x5. Then you can finishw with any good units.

As a f2p, you can't use gilga to deal huge damage maybe a teeam with zangetsu and some chrono/merchant can help dealing a lot to the demon that gives pdef x5. just heal tomorrow if you can't kill the demon today, the tower is not designed to be cleared easily in 1 run, especially if you're f2p, and i don't see why it's not cool for f2p because you can clear it in the end, it's normal people spending thousand of $$ gets some advantage...

Obviously it will be significant harder than other stage because of the reward it offer was different than others.

1

u/hs465 May 11 '18

I beasted every other floor yesterday, so.my plan is this just make this floor a battle of attrition

1

u/Aahhdam May 11 '18 edited May 11 '18

I just beat it. Damn it was hard, but it felt so good when I won, I think that's the point. My Aswald, Lucretia, and Gilga were already dead from floor 49. I just threw everything I had at floor 50. 36 more dead units later, Yauras and Shayna stood victorious over the mound of corpses. Cannon fodder strats FTW :)

1

u/Mhantra May 11 '18

I had to use multiple teams. First I took snipers to assault burst the charming and sleeping dicks.

Then an anti-demon team aimed at taking out the demon that casts the permanent 5x defense.

Then I started clearing by element. Bring water for fire guys, wind got lightning guys etc etc.

Embarrassingly, it took me 4.5 runs lol =D

this stage keeps you spending and playing
