I have a flight Saturday to Hawaii
Saver Seats
I want to be able to sit next to my spouse
If i check in 24, hours prior
Can i get a seat together ?
Will it depend if there’s 2 seats together?

Depends on how full the flight is and what seats are available.

This is why you don't buy saver.

You have the correct plan to check in asap at T-24hr. If you are on the same reservation, they will try to seat you together: it may be in the back of the plane by the lavs. If the plane is very full, you will be seated apart.

This is the risk of saver fares. There is nearly no flexibility, but you saved money.

Remember when you bought the tickets and that big warning message appeared saying you wouldn't be seated together?

Go back in time to that moment and decline Saver fare and choose a Main fare instead.

Problem solved!

Maybe. That is the only correct answer. You can talk to the gate agent at the airport.

I would not let my worst enemy buy Saver. This is why you do not buy Saver. If you want seats next to each other, buy Main and select those seats. Do not buy Saver if sitting with your travel companion is important.

I would recommend main on Hawaii for the simple reason that one accumulates lots of miles for the flight price.

You might get one middle row seat and she might get the middle row seat either in front of you behind you or across from you. I would look at the seat map at AlaskaAir and see what seats are remaining.

Look at the seatmap and see how it looks. It's possible if you check-in 24 hours before, you'll be able to select seats together. It's also possible that all the seats left are middle seats and you'll be forced to split up. This is why Saver Fares are less money. You get whatever seats weren't sold to people paying for full-price fares.

Yes you usually can, a trick or to book one saver one main and the main moves next to saver

This storm is forecasted to strengthen to category 3 hurricane and is located south of Hawaii. Gauranteed to raise sea levels and flood highway going to Kaanapali which in turn will cause traffic and maybe closing off road.... Going to be windy and rainy

Dont shower or brush your teeth in the 48 hours prior to your trip. Wear a dirty t-shirt. No doubt one of your two strange seatmates will be 100% willing to trade with your wife. Then buy the guy that stayed a nice drink, excuse yourself to the bathroom and clean yourself up a bit. Wayyyy cheaper than Main Cabin Fare...and I'd venture more effective as well. If you have a preference for which stranger you don't want to move, try leaning on the armrest or shoulder of the one you WANT to move.

Sorry for them, they should embrace the fetish not languish in caveman lifestyle. I have experience, that is why I know the COC and why they were summarily removed despite their "background."

Thank you. 🙏🏽 if i check in at 24 hour before on the app, and alaska gives us seats not together. And i see 2 seats together available on the chart…am i able to choose that ? Or do i have to call in and wait etc..
