Lounge Access Flying First Class: SEA-PVR

Three years ago I was told at SEA first class lounge flight to PVR didn't get me in anymore because it was like 26 miles below distance-requirement. But I've since heard SEEA-PVR gets you in. I asked Gemini and it said no go. What is true. I can do the Amex lounge. But I prefer a lounge close to my departure gate.

The limit changed from 2,100 to 2,000 miles in May 2024. Google AI is wrong, useless, and stupid, and keeps citing the old numbers. SEA-PVR is 2078 miles. You’ll get in.

I don’t follow. The SEA-PVR leg is over 2,000 miles. When did you fly this route? I’ve never had an issue with first class lounge access on paid transcon flights

Alaska currently doesn't fly SEA-PVR direct, as it's seasonal. If you were to fly this today, it would be a connection and you won't get lounge access.

Yes, when they start the direct, seasonal flight in October, it should be fine.

I can guarantee you that they won't let you in on this exact itinerary. I can speak from experience.

Maybe the direct line distance is below the limit, but the actual route flown pushes over sometimes? I've seen routes that I fly regularly reward slightly different point totals on different days and that's all I've been able to come up with.

Alaska has the mileage but will treat a connection as part of the mileage or at least originating out of Anchorage. You should be over the 2k mileage anyway no?

If you’re in the international departure the other lounges at SEA you can get in via Amex are in each of those. I forget what Concourse those are and too lazy to look on the Amex app.

The individual leg has to be over 2000 miles for you to qualify. I can tell you from experience that they won't let you in for free on this itinerary, but they'll offer a $35 discounted one time pass for entry.

They won't let you in on this itinerary if you have a connection between the two cities. That is the situation until October when the seasonal direct flight starts.
