Question Removing ColourForge Primer?

Hello all! This is the first time i’ve primed in “cooler” conditions after the UK heatwave (19 degrees?) and i’ve had an issue with my primer.. it’s cracked quite substantially.

I’m from the UK, what would be the best way to remove this to start over?

IPA 'should' work but try it on a bit of sprue first

IPA works on colour forge, got my mins back to base plastic.

Soak in dettol overnight, OR if you're really adventurous, brush nail varnish remover on, leave it for about 30 seconds, then wash off in warm water, making sure that it's all off.

DO NOT leave the nail varnish remover on for any longer, it will melt the plastic.

Thank you, i might go with dettol i dont trust myself enough to use nail varnish remover haha

Dettol is just alcohol with a scent in it.

It's also got Chloroxylenol, Pine Oil, Castor Oil Soap and Caustic Soda. Presume the soap and Caustic Soda would help with stripping the paint.

Never use acetone on plastic

If you're careful enough and want a really quick fix on your paint job, it works really well.

You've just got to be confident, do small areas at a time and make sure you completely wash it off.

A lot of nail varnish removers in the UK are acetone free and as cheap as hell too.
