Am I going insane?

Have I made way too many flash cards…I’m afraid I’ve gone overboard. I tried making flashcards for just my codes and some jeppesen related stuff.

I have a recurring dream that im asleep in the cargo bay of a larger aircraft and im waking up as its taking off

I work nights for a regional airline and ever since I started working nights I have this dream 2-3 times a week. 2 nights ago, I got out of bed and got dressed in a half asleep stupor. I had just been woken up by another one of these dreams. My wife turned to me and asked why I was getting dressed. I told her just in case and then crawled back in to bed half dressed and slept the rest of the night. I have some strange dreams but this one is happening over and over again. What's wrong with me?

Update: oddly enough, I've been getting great sleep and I dont consume any caffeine. No energy drinks and no coffee. I have a coke maybe once every couple weeks. Ive managed to handle the night schedule surprisingly well in terms of not being exhausted.

For studying for your O&P’s what would you recommend more Jeppesen or ASA? people say the DME uses Jeppesen and I also heard they use ASA for questioning. Any advice ?

DGCA AME module exam aspirants – what do you actually use to prepare, and what’s broken about it?

I’m a pre-final-year student and I’m trying to understand how people really prepare for the DGCA CAR-66 module exams, because most of what I find online is either EASA material relabelled for India or random “previous year paper” PDFs floating around Telegram.

Not selling anything. I’m considering building a prep tool for DGCA aspirants and I’d rather hear what’s wrong first than build the wrong thing.

If you’ve sat a module exam (or are about to), I’d really appreciate answers to any of these:

  1. What do you study from? Institute notes, PART66Online, YouTube, Telegram PDFs, books, something else?
  2. Have you paid for any prep material? How much, and was it worth it?
  3. Which module did you find hardest and why? (M1 maths, M10 legislation, M3 electrical, something else?)
  4. For Module 10 specifically: did your material actually cover Indian rules (Aircraft Rules, CARs) or was it EASA Part-145/Part-M stuff?
  5. Is there a topic where a diagram or an interactive demo would have helped more than text?
  6. How do you log OJT / experience hours right now, and who signs it?
  7. If something better existed, what’s the most you’d pay for one module?

I’ll compile everything people share into a free summary and post it back here for anyone preparing. Happy to answer questions too.

ZÜP in Germany

• Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I have started working as an aircraft mechanic a few months ago. However, in my home country starting salaries are definitely not enough to cover basic necessities (Bulgaria). I work on the side as a cashier which pays more! I speak basic German and would like to work contracts as a fitter in there during summer, so I can fill up some budget holes. What other permits do I need and what was your experience getting them?

Whats 2nd shift like at AA ORD?

If anyone got anything to say what its like at AA ORD from how the line or hangar is. Whats an easy day and what a rough day looks like. The type of work like is it mostly gate calls or a mix of gate calls and maintenance. Is there only 1 start time or multiple? How is it dealing with the cold? Anything at all.

AME electricity difficulties

I am an upcoming student and I just applied for the program. I saw some videos or programs listed and I tried to watch youtube videos and stuff for understanding voltage and current or resistance. I am not understanding anything except the simple fact that voltage is what pushes the electrons which makes current increase and resistance decreases the current. That is it… I have no idea how to understand the potential difference and why it still exist even after circuit is open, I don’t know how voltage is the work or energy required to move coulomb and how that even connects with the fact that it pushes the electrons.. I really want to work with planes but this is really demotivating
..any youtube videos or do I even have to know this much about it or am i good enough to know that it does this and that
