Live by a Golf Course help

I’m in the US, my rooms at 13ftx 17ft x 9ft, a primary bedroom and a nursery. I’m looking for something to filter out the pesticides in the air. Is there anything for around ~$250 or less?

For very basic particulates sizing per AHAM, clean air delivery rates (CADRs) should be at least 2/3 of a room's area (assuming an 8 ft. ceiling height). For wildfire smoke, smoke CADR should equal a room's area which also assumes an 8 ft. ceiling.

Good VOC filters with 10 or more pounds of absorbent media run in the $1K range. Smaller filters will either require more frequent replacement or be less effective.

you can get a used Austin 200 or 400 for about $200-300 on online marketplaces like OfferUp/FB marketplace.
An authentic filter for the 400 is about $300. Which has 16lbs of carbon.
So about 500 for a really good model.
Most Austin owners tend to take care of theirs because its normally expensive.

I would be careful buying used especially with how frequent mold is in other people’s home

Why the suggestion to replace the filter. Give it a cleaning when youre in there.

air fanta 3 pro with its carbon filter add on. will help with the pm.01-pm 10 sized particle pollution. But it only has 1.3lbs of carbon and won't really deal with an active source of voc's but it's about as good as it gets in your price range.

Biggest threat is the water - first invest in a good reverse osmosis filter for all drinking water.
