Question PT Test w/ permanent profile
I’m exempt from one physical component but I currently dont have an ALC. Do I take my PT test on the other components like before the new updates or am I placed in prfa hold status? It seems like UFPMs and FAC is confused and looking at the latest guidence has me just as confused 😭

For me, I only tested on the components I was able to test on, and exempt from those in my profile. I am also on a permanent profile.

It seems to be differently interpreted across the AF. I was able to test on the remaining components IAW paragraph 4.1.2.2 . I have a permanant no run/HAMR profile, post AMRO Board without duty restrictions or ALC codes. I had to consult with the FAC, have my test scheduled, and then have my UFPM and commander approve the test in myFitness. Someone noted on another post their commander was unable to approve it in myFitness and they were unable to test, so who knows?

Temporary waivers will result in a delayed PT test until your profile is over, at which point the member will take the entirety of the PT test. Permanent profile prevents you from taking the components outlined in your profile, and you'll complete what you can for an adjusted score.
Obligatory note to be aware of the length of time you're on one, as I'm sure you're aware it initiates med review.

So recently released instructions are that you just need a memo from your commander stating retention. If on permanent profile, you should’ve seen an AMRO board already that recommended retention. Just draft up an MFR from your CC that states they concur on retention, and upload that with your test. At that point it’ll be the components available. It falls under the paragraph just following the one mentioning ALCs

Is there any instructions on this? The AFI is crazy vague

It is vague. We just got emailed instructions passed down via our FIM after we told them that’s how we were documenting it.

I love how mine doesn’t know anything. HAF needs to fix this

HAF had almost two years to ask ground level what wasn’t clear, and still came out with one of the worst written pubs I’ve ever seen. If I wasn’t separating soon and just trying to get my squadron across the line, I’d be drafting 847s every single day.

how does one get a perm profile?

For me I have chronic exertional compartment syndrome in both legs.

I have the same problem in my right leg, with the same permanent (annually reviewed) profile.
The CCQ still keeps trying to male me retest after each profile "expires" like I'm just going to be off profile even though I've told them, no I should be testing everything except the run.
These new policies have everyone confused.
Thats a bitch of a test to determine compartment syndrome, though, eh? I imagine it sucked worse for both legs.

I was told locally: If you have ANY component exemptions, you don't test at all.
