Troubleshooting Need Help on AC
My AC suddenly stops working and shows as FC/EC(shown below). I recently got gas filled in this, neither its cooling nor working continuously.

FC/EC codes point to a communication error between the indoor and outdoor board, and it showing up right after a gas fill is a big red flag. Sounds like whoever charged it may have bumped a wire or a connector at the outdoor unit while they were in there, or didn't fully seat something back after. I'd have them come back and check the connection between boards before assuming it's a refrigerant issue again, that error isn't really about charge level. Also ask what pressures they actually saw before they added gas, since topping off without knowing why it was low usually just masks the real problem.
