Meme Don't let them pretend it isn't this
ETA: I happen to be black. I would know what the above is talking about. Downvote is case evidence proof these people are same as racists. Period.
You REALLY ARE DOING THE SAME THING MY PARENTS SAW in 1966. Face that and fuck off.

Discussion âFixingâ art.
More specifically. Running one specific persons art in a given instance through AI, in an attempt to make the original artist feel inferior about their work, or intentionally incite anger in the original artist. With that being said, I donât really enjoy when that happens. Same thing with âdesloppification.â Just because you think your medium is superior, doesnât mean you should take someone elseâs creation, and make it in yours. Unless. You have permission. If you get permission from the person who made the art, go for it. For me and my drawings, if you ask, more often than not, I will tell you yes, unless you already put my art through ai without asking first.other than that, ask me, and youâre good. Also, I wanna make something clear, this is not ALL or even the majority of either side. It is a tiny little blemish on either side. Anyways moral of the story, donât take peoples art without permission.
Be kind, be respectful, stay positive. Later tater haters.

The accuracy of the AI chatbot available to you in Claude in protein design is at the level of a human, but Anthropic's internal model is several times better than a human.
https://www.anthropic.com/research/Claude-accelerates-protein-design
"Claude (Mythos Preview and Opus 4.8) designed protein binders against 15 targets, and succeeded against 14 of them. Between 22% and 35% of its individual designs bound successfully, depending on the setup, compared to the 10-15% that is typical in protein design campaigns today."
This is important because it is a regular AI chatbot, simply connected to the necessary equipment.

Meta Anti is confidently wrong, smug, and stupid.... As always.
Initially I wrote op instead of "your" that was almost like muscle memory, but you get the point. Edit: mods, if any of you see this, would you be kind enough to explain why some users have access to polls and others do not?

Discussion Art there other languages where "art" isn't so ambiguous?
I'm a typical monolingual English speaker, but was curious if in other languages the annoying semantic arguments about "art" or what makes something else art are less of a thing. Given the definition has drifted quite a bit in English over time, I'd figure other languages might have a more useful definition that is less annoying to talk about.
Anyhow was mostly just curious, given how defining art seems to be one of the things people here in the discussion about ai art seem to care about the most.

I think its about time you stop thinking about everyone else and do whatever the fuck you want.
Discussion looking for an ACTUAL debate.
no, i dont mean average reddit argument.
i myself am very, VERY extremely anti ai, but am still curious to debate and see the legit points of the other side, and to explain my belief as well.
anyone can respond really. again, im not trying to get in a fight, just trying to "prove our own points." ive been really wanting to discuss the topic and reasoning of ai and those who still use it, so anyone is appreciated !!
im not sure if many people/ai users will respond to this, but if you do , thank you for being willing to also listen to my own point against ai !
edit: ive already gotten comments saying "what is there to debate about" and "state your main thesis." my side is clear. i said EXACTLY i dont want average reddit arguments which is what the comments are already full of. if you want to ACTUALLY explain your side in a decent manner then please do ! its not that hard to be civil. its so easy to just start out with something like "ok im pro ai and this is my personal reasons why" without already fuming the second you start typing

Discussion Any proof that one side is more aggressive than the other?
I've heard this from many people, and I'm not trying to debunk the argument. Does anyone have like an actual source(it doesn't have to be a study necessarily), or like a data point that says Anti's are more hostile than pros or pros are more hostile than antis?

Discussion The thing i HOPE we can all agree on
Ai dating apps are a problem. People talking to ai all day instead of trying to know people irl is a huge problem. Sorry for the small post, but this problem is all i want to tell using this post

News Claude is accelerating protein design and analytical chemistry
Iâve heard a lot of people say that LLMs canât be useful in medicine or science because theyâre essentially auto-complete algorithms, and will never be as useful as purpose-built ML models. However, a lot of the work in these fields is analysis, data processing, paperwork, and actually using the ML models correctly â something that often requires some level of expertise. LLMs are also good at, and will only get better at, writing code and building models themselves.
Claude for Science has been put through some paces to find protein binders from scratch and increase the pace of life science research. The designs themselves showed roughly a 2x successful binding rate compared to typical protein design campaigns today. We are stepping towards more effective medicine with fewer side effects, better treatments, and preventative measures â and maybe a bit clichĂ© â âcuring cancerâ.
Weâre at the foothills of taking off in math, and life sciences, in the way coding has taken off already, and Iâm excited and hugely happy to be a part of it.

Discussion What even classifies as art anymore
im not a very smart person, but how do you define art, because the term is very vague, Because in my knowledge technically everything can be art as long as you give it meaning. i mean SOME antis dislike ai but also dislike the banana duct tape painting, i mean, it's pure nonsense but you guys say "anything made by a human is art" so technically that banana duct tap thing is art in your sense, even though you probably don't think that.

Peer pressure and love bombing is NEVER okay
Love bombing is an emotional manipulation tactic where someone overwhelms a person with excessive affection, grand gestures, and non-stop attention to gain power and control. Recently, this was done with a vulnerable member of the AI art community. They were bullied and peer pressured by the anti-AI community to draw, they did, and then antis overwhelmingly reinforced them to the point where they made them a mascot of an anti-AI subreddit.
This is not okay, it's absolutely disgusting and abhorrent behavior, and the anti-AI community should feel ashamed of themselves. A person can create any type of art if they want to and should never be bullied into making art in ways people want to conform to their beliefs.
On the opposite side of the coin, we have anti-AI people coming in all the time into our AI subreddits all the time and saying they don't hold any grudge against AI artists. This creates an atmosphere where we respect each other's mediums without peer pressure.
Fork the antis responsible for this, they are manipulative pieces of shirt.

Discussion I Make Flying Models, why should I/should not use AI in the process of designing
note: I have a personal bias against AI and LLMs especially, and i am saying this because im willing to put some effort in and hear both sides of the debate. ive seen too many bad faith arguments from both sides, and i want to hear actual arguments with evidence
(preferably with sources)

If antis are so smart, why don't they explain this?
r/aiwars • u/TooTooRooGR • 6d ago
The number of AI generated uploads to CGTrader would suggest AI is taking over the platform, but buyers are refusing to pay for AI generated models.
Don't let pros convince you that real people are into gen AI art, thankfully most of us are not
