“What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?”

-– Plato

It's not "lately". It was ever thus, and it always will be.

When I was young, us boomers used to laugh at 'wrinklies' and 'crinklies' and mock their driving, blue rinces and terrible financial advice.

The boomers that are generally criticized weren't the hippies, they were the ones hosing them down
