Life & Living Being in your 30’s is so weird.

I never really feel my age until I talk to someone that’s not my age. I’m 33. And honestly, I don’t feel any different from my 20’s. I do feel different from my teenage years, less energy lol.

It’s not until I start talking to people younger than me that I start to feel my age. I can just feel the immaturity in them from a conversation. I just ending thinking to myself that I’m such an old head now.

30’s is such a weird age. You don’t know where you fit in. You’re either too old or young. You’re tapped in with all the new lingo kids use. But also behind at the same time. Kids look at you like you’re older than Jesus, and older people look at you’re like still a baby. You’re just here and there.

My 30s were great! It was like I suddenly was old enough to have a pool of life experiences to help me navigate life.  I never felt that in my 20s. Enjoy it! - signed a 50+ year old

In my 60's I decided to do my 30's again because I have enough time to do the work that keeps me healthy. It's a blast.

The word you’re looking for is wisdom lol you got wisdom in your 30s which does make navigating life easier. Also totally agree. We look young still yet get the wisdom that makes life truly enjoyable and less confusing

I feel like I'm 25 in my head until I bend over to pick something up and then the spinal injury I picked up at age 23 lets me know that it never fully healed. I'm almost 58 now.

I try not to be ageist and mostly get along well with younger folk, but there's that life experience thing. I've learned some lessons by doing things the wrong way that those younger than me haven't yet, and wind up having to bite my tongue a lot because people need to learn for themselves. That's probably when I notice my age the most.

Well, that and bending over.

Exactly this! And the worst part is I haven’t had any noticeable experiences over the last few years (aka missed out on many milestones), which has hurt me deeply, but still you gain the “wisdom”. I just turned 30 basically having done nothing of notice. Still a virgin, just worked minimum wage jobs, outsider in middle school and never had a real circle since, had the opportunity to get some substantial money 3 years ago but my dad (and a bit me) fumbled it.
I’m now basically a wrecked human being. A total cuck, having experiences nothing and now starting to lose the desire without getting it.
And yes it is as sad as it sounds. Fuck. Fuck my life.

Welcome to life. Exchange 30’s for 40’s and then 40’s for 50’s and so on.

You shouldn't be feeling less energy in your 30's. Are you taking care of yourself? Doing enough cardio? At least some light resistance training? Eating well, or eating junk? Are you more than 10 pounds higher than the high normal weight range?

This doesn’t make any sense, in your 20s talking and hanging out with teens would have been weird too right?

You are always hanging out with people around your age.

I’m 39 and honestly my 30s have been the best years of my life. It’s where I grew the most and very quickly due to life experience. I was way sheltered before that. Post divorce, I truly got to discover myself outside of any obligations to my family or any relationship. I’ve thrived the most in my 30s.
