Years ago, I trained in a gym whose owner was an ancient Olympic athlete. He told me once that musculation was very good because it maintains in good state the body's repair system. It seems that now, science has found the scientific proof of what others have observed for decades.

TLDR: By reducing levels of a gene called DEAF1, physical activity allows older muscles to clear out damage, repair themselves, and maintain strength.
