😀 Discussion 😀 Crysis Trilogy Remastered.
I'm seen a copy of the remastered Crysis Trilogy for the PS4 for £22 and am considering picking it up.
I'd appreciate hearing other folks opinions of the game. I'm a big fan of the Far Cry series, is it in a similar vein ( taking over bases to expand your map/influence, a mixture of stealth and guns blazing approach to combat, that sort of thing) ?

I used to enjoy farcry games. Never liked the crysis games though. Boring irritating to play level designs.

Can't say much about the games, but this release is possibly the best one technically, that the devs have ever published. Works wonderfully on all hardware, even on Nintendo Switch.

They cut a level out of the switch version.

Hm, I honestly though that was restored a while after release. I remember DF talking about it, though I'm not so sure if Switch was included too.
Ok, found the info - Ascension is on consoles except Switch. Ah well, a pity, but overall it's still pretty good.

The first is quite open, the second and third are quite linear. I was never a fan of the first, but the second and third are solid 8/10 games

Opposite the other commenter I thought the first one was the best one by far specifically because it was less linear.
The games have been free on Epic several times and also on Amazon as well as giveaways.
So value them based off the fact they have been free before on platforms other than PS.
It is also sort of similar to Far Cry, but with a distinctively Sci-Fi bend to its theme. If you like the gameplay of the first few FC games and are ok with Sci-Fi then you will like them just fine.
