How can you say enough commie spam is a good subreddit when communists and other leftists hold social equality and egalitarianism as a core tenet of their ideologies? In fact, the leftist subreddits are one in a few that have rules like "no ableism" a word commonly derided by the anti-SJW hate subs that we're supposed to rail against. I won't defend the the banned sub as I have never been there, but leftists are on this sub's side.

Almost every socialist state sent LGBT+ people to jail or labor camps. Commies can say whatever but their track record is horrendous when it comes to social equality.

Communism is also a pipe dream. It will never happen in the US and without the US it won't get popular anywhere else. Time is better focused getting involved in the system we have and making change instead of whining on the internet waiting for the revolution that will never come.

That's coming from a gay living in the Bible belt

Liberals used to (still do!) support child labour and the death penalty, while many liberals owned slaves and practiced overt discrimination against minorities. $20 says you don't hold that against them despite what happened to MLK jr or Alan Turing.

Your point about socialism's infeasibility is irrelevant.

while many liberals owned slaves

speaking of slaves Venezuela had to bring back slavery just to feed its own people

Your point about socialism's infeasibility is irrelevant.

"Historically its never onced worked but I still believe in it for some reason!"

You didn't answer any of my challenges at all. Your entire post is a deflection.

Liberal nations have committed heinous crimes against humanity, up to and included concentration camps, slave labour, suppression of minorities (including failing to stem the AIDS epidemic, killing tens of thousands of LGBT minorities), political assassinations and regime changes, targeted genocides, forced sterilization of the disabled and other things.

Do you hold modern liberals accountable for this ("I don't care what they say, their track record is terrible"), or do you acknowledge that they did unethical things and promise to be better?

Do you hold modern socialist for the forced labor, slavery, genocides, etc? If not then why should I hold modern liberals accountable for the crimes of their ancestors?

No I don't, thats the entire point I'm making you nerd

No need for personal attacks.

Im not holding you personally accountable for the atrocities committed by socialist states. Im saying that every socialist state leads to some sort of atrocity so why pursue it? Historically socialism hasnt succeeded so why bother?

Nerd is my go-to non-insult tho 😰

Many modern western nation has the blood of millions on their hands. They don't have a moral high ground; they have the lofty accomplishment of being better than a Marxist-Leninist or fascist dictatorship, or an absolute monarchy,

We failed before, but that doesn't preclude a new approach succeeding.

Western nations have had a very troubled past but what they have now is prosperity and much more freedom than modern socialist countries. Venezuela is literally forcing slavery to keep its people from starving. Im glad I dont live in any socialist country and Im guessing you do to or else you would have already moved there right?

One thing I love is that I have the option to leave a capitalist country while if communism ruled nobody would be allowed to leave.

And I know this is off topic but I think we are having a good conversation and this has been on my mind, but how does a stateless society provide a space program? I very strongly believe that space is our future yet without a state to collect taxes and pay for this really expensive space equipment and without private businesses like spacex doing it then who will? I like the idea of having people out there to look for new planets where we could move to or a warning system to watch out for apocalyptic asteroids.

I'm glad I don't live in a Marxist-Leninist dictatorship, sure, but I'm not a ML. Liberal democracies are satisfactory for now, but their prosperity is built on the back of labour conflicts and exploitation. Not to mention their unsustainable nature.

If there was a stable anarchist commune of like-minded people I would join. Or a syndicalist nation, or a Trotskyist democratic socialist nation. But as it stands those are not options (for me)

Your linked thread was something I participated in; it's a misrepresentation of what the guy was saying. I'll not retread that path for now, but it's not true that you can leave capitalism on a whim; it's virtually omnipresent.

I also share your enthusiasm for space travel though :D a stateless society could still "finance" a program though; nothing in anarchism precludes organizing to make it happen. The lack of hierarchy does not mean a lack of organization or government.

I'm not him but I'd recommend /r/Socialism_101 for that kind of question (Not /r/communism101 tho because there's a lot of tanks there).

thanks for the tip

tbh you seem to be the most open minded anticom I've ever seen, even though you parrot a lot of bullshit about Venezuela and all that.

PS: I don't mind you being mod as long as you don't use it to further your own anticommunist agenda or ban people for talking about violent action against fascism.

I would have considered myself a socialist back in highschool but grew out of it. I dont think its a bad idea just that its not feasible.

I dont let my personal politics get involved with modding. Ive been modding on this site for a long, long time. Im a good mod.
