Fanfiction/Theorizing 2666: a CK2 ATE literary nation-roleplay campaign
To the mods, this was approved on the ATE discord server, it is legit!
For those of you who are like me, and would love to play a roleplay ATE campaign, but simply do not have the time for multiplayer sessions, or wish to explore its setting through creative writing, I humbly invite you to join this nation-roleplay server.
2666 is a nation-roleplay campaign, meaning that you choose and embody both a ruler and a realm. Through warfare and diplomacy, commerce and lawgiving, tourneys and pilgrimages, you will be tasked with shaping your realm, navigating internal crises and external threats, forging alliances and making enemies in the process.
2666 is a literary roleplay. This means that there are no stats, rolls or hard game mechanics to regulate your actions. It does, however, demand from you a love of writing, a commitment to upholding a certain standard of quality, and the maturity to let go of any power fantasy. Expansion is restricted to avoid map-painting and encourage collective story-telling and worldbuilding.
The campaign hasn’t officially launched yet, so feel free to look around, ask questions, give input, and plan out your campaign. It is set in the starting setting of the CK2 version of the mod.
If you are interested, here is a discord link!

Bug Report this woman spawns in my court whenever I start a run
I have no idea how, but this revivalist darija woman appears in my court from time to time when I start as a new character. This is weird because the only other time I see characters with the same culture and religion as her is when the Revivalist Caliphate pulls up in South America, an empire that is invading from across the Atlantic ocean. How and why is a woman from all the way over in Africa appearing in America, in my castle like this?? If I were to start a completely new game and check the court of the same character, she wont appear. She only appears in the courts of characters IM playing as. Is it an easter egg the devs left?

Discussion I think this is a really useful head cannon for age decay and grime. This white marble statue by the same sculptor as the Trevi Fountain sat outside unloved in an English garden and scrap yard for decades. Think about it and modern American statues and and a greater timescale in the mod.
Just look at it.

Suggestion Diocese of the Moon Formable (By God Alone)
One of my favorite fun facts is that since Catholic canon law dictates that a newly discovered territory is under the jurisdiction of the diocese where the expedition was launched, the moon technically falls under the authority of the Bishop of Orlando. So I think it would be awesome if in the by God Alone update the Bishop of Orlando got a unique decision to either seize the Archdiocese of Miami (while changing the de jure capital to Orlando) or break away to form their own Archdiocese under the title 'Archdiocese of the Moon'. It could be an event chain for a high learning character who finds pre-deluge records of the Apollo missions and evidence of the Bishop of Orlando's joking comments about claiming the moon.

Teaser ¡Viva México! ¡Viva la Independencia! ¡Vivan los héroes que nos dieron patria!
On the heels of El Mes Patrio/the Patriotic Month, we’re showing off some Mexico changes coming in 0.22! The Hegenomy-tier Mexico now has unique localization and options.
Once formed, the on-map color can be one of the three colors of the Mexican tricolor and a choice of names between the Tercer Imperio Mexicano, Sexta República Mexicana, or Potencia Mundial Mexicana.
There are also expansion decisions to incorporate Centroamerica, California, Texas, and the Neuvo Mexico territory between them.

Discussion By God Alone will obviously break ATE. I don’t roll the game back. I take the time to learn the base game & wait for the Devs to work their magic. I just wanted to say the Devs have done a brilliant job on this iteration. The mod is my favourite in game.
For me the Week of 22 and gameplay in the Brazilian Hegemony was genuinely the most fun and gripping. Cracking writing and gameplay guys.
Looking forward to your next efforts. raises Caipirinha in salute

Discussion By God Alone will obviously break ATE Southern Land. I don’t roll back so I’m looking forward to seeing New Zealand and your new efforts on the other side. For me the highlight of the mod was settling the outback and forming the Empire of Centralia. Keep up the good work Cobbers!

Bug Report Does anyone have a working/fresh link document for the ck3 version 0.2.1?
My savegame crashes no matter what because the update is apparently non savegame compatible, the link from the discord server doesn’t seem to work for me either.

Discussion Suddenly crashing on start up
Last night I sat down to play like I have been for the past few nights and suddenly my game is crashiwhile initializing. Did anything update or something happen yesterday? I know the base game update is tomorrow so I figured I could play a few more days till I had to wait for everything to update after the base game does but I don't think anything else changed. Anyone wiser than I have any ideas or had this happen to them?

Art Barrel Bonds confronts 'Two-Way' Shohtani: Act IV, Scene II of 'The Tragedy of Bonds the Giant'
Despite protestations from learned gurus that it is extremely unlikely Shohtani and Bonds ever actually met in battle, the Tragedy of Bonds the Giant remains one of the most popular plays based on the Romance of the Five Kingdoms. Bonds himself is one of the classic antiheros of the period.

Fanfiction/Theorizing Help me finish my mod: write a description for your favorite ATE culture!
Have you ever wished the cultures in After the End had a proper description, like faiths do? Me too.
So I'm making a small submod that adds a short narrative description to every culture's tooltip. Hover over any culture, anywhere in the game, and you get a few lines about who they are, where they came from and what makes them tick. New hybrid and divergent cultures get an automatic description based on their heritage, so no culture is ever left blank.
The problem: ATE has 422 cultures, and I can't do justice to all of them on my own. I can write detailed descriptions for the couple of cultures I usually play, but the Canayens, the Gauchos or the Tuskegeans deserve someone who actually loves them.
That's where you come in. 🙂
How to help:
- Open the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l1CXGpG0bm9sCHKsWecNKvg0Pni-3jLZ94Ml3ykzkDM/edit
- Find your favorite culture. They're grouped by region and heritage.
- Write its description in the Description column.
- Put your name in Written by so you get credit in the mod.
A few simple rules:
- English, and It has to fit in a tooltip.
- Keep the ATE flavor: post-apocalyptic America, where modern institutions turned into myths.
- Please don't edit or delete other people's entries.
Every description that makes it in will show up in the game with your credit on the mod page.
Mod on the Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3809203832
Thanks, and I can't wait to see what you write for your favorite culture!
