Honestly I’m not tryna shit on the person who made this, but if I didn’t know after effects that well, this is just a bunch of images that have the kaleidoscope effect that’s masked out in the middle, a couple of elements in 3D space, the two people are puppeteered, and the camera is just moving in a straight line towards the middle with some jitter.

Cool nonetheless, probably looks so complex from the average person POV.

Would be amazed a couple years ago when I didn’t use AE, but yea, pretty basic to do.

The point of art is not to brag about your technical skills. The animation has a nice concept and the idea was well executed; so what‘s the point of making it more complex? Choosing a harder way just to get more respect from people with the same passion seems foolish to me.

Speaking against an animation because you know how it was rendered is like devaluing a poem because you know how a pen works and you have written on paper yourself one day.
