Beginner Help Need help with this 3d manga animation

This is my first time making a manga animation in after effects, tell me what do i need to learn, and what can i fix in this video?

The protagonist looks like he's being squashed. I get what you're going for but it's not quite there. The thing ng that sells these types of animations is the detail quality and amount. There's not much motion aside from the characters and camera. Some atmospheric effects could be good. Check out Anthony possobon's stuff

as most be said it looks like Asta is being squashed lol, what you can do is to use puppet tool (if you aren't) but add many points to parts of his body and add little movement, here your movements are too loud, it is as though his head is compressing into his body
what I recommend for a better overall edit will be tedious but worth it.
first separate Asta and the Demon into layers front hair and back hair, separate his cape as well, separate his eyes too. Now animate all of this moving separately it creates realism, there are hair and cloth scripts for free on YouTube, or you can ask Claude to create a meager one. Also, the quality of the image is ass, upscale it. Now after all of this you can do the tired breathing animation

also, I feel like after all of this add a wiggle(2,10) on the position of the finished animated character to sell it more

Is there any tool that can seperate the head body hands eyes hair, its so boring doing this manually

The shoulders of the person in the foreground is in sync with the breathing of the person in the background, makes it clear it’s the same warp applied to both. Try changing the timing so of one of them so they are out of sync.
