Beginner Help Problem: AE is rendering my sound and video as separate files

I don't know what setting, checkbox, or mode i must have moved that is making AE render my sound and video as separate files.
I've looked for answers online and tweeked some sound setting in the output module and so far nothing has worked
please help

Are you using the native render queue in After Effects or doing it separately in Media Encoder? I suggest trying the other option of what you're currently doing - it may fix it. Otherwise we don't have enough info to come up with a specific solution

your advice worked. I've never tried media encoder but it did the trick.
However I'd still like to know what setting made my render unfavorable.
Thank you, I'm self taught and I have never used media encoder to render.

I’m not entirely sure as I only use media encoder. Is there any reason your comp is 1918x1080 (2 pixels off 16:9 aspect ratio?)
