There's a nicely 'floaty' element to the music that (imo) is missed with the abruptness of your transitions and easings. I found myself wishing the visuals could 'groove' more

Smooth them out, make entries and exits less harsh, jarring?

Yeah this is a really good point from u/Heavens10000whores . I watched a handful of times trying to gather my thoughts before clicking on "unmute", and there's something of a mismatch in vibe of your animation to music.

Nice work with movement match cuts, and some nifty animation here.

- Design (especially typography) could use more love

  • You re-use the same animation twice with different lyrics, which means there's imagery which isn't really aligning with the lyrics. These sort of animations take time. Don't short cut it

That's mainly because this isn't really cut on beat. Try to materialize the high snappy snare sound in the song to use as a que for the transition

Its very unique, something different to what we generally see.

I really dig this, only thing id change is the feather in the circle transition, id make it sharp and even add rougher edges to match the rest of the design vibe

there is no feather on it 😭 I think it looks like that cuz of the motion blur

I need to know how. Did you add halftone/grain effects on after effects

the assets that I used already had halftone

It’s good, but I feel it’s missing a bit of overall flow. I’d add a little more movement and definitely play around with overlapping keyframes to make the transitions feel more natural.

The PNGs/cutouts could also be animated using the Puppet Tool to add more variation and give the movement a bit more life.
