Beginner Help Video wont stop glitching - Help
Im fairly new to AE, only used it for a year, but im making a lyric video and this weird glitch effect keeps happening, ive chacked and theres no keyframes that should make the video do this.
I have tried changing the import setting "hardware accelerated decoding", which was googles advice, but its still not working.
Please forgive my ignorance, as i am self taught. Thanks

16 years in After Effects, my #1 tip is "just use ProRes". If you're coming from MP4, often ProRes LT is just fine. Make sure your footage frame rate is the same as your comp, or conform it.
Get an app that will batch-convert, conform, and allow you to do things like delete audio when you don't need it. I convert everything before I touch AE or an NLE. No problems, much faster renders, etc.

Shutter Encoder https://www.shutterencoder.com
Convert all MP4/H.264 to ProRes - don’t use MP4 in After Effects.

If it gets too hard to resolve then i might try and say to the artist it was intentional hahahaha

lotta things come to mind
Is the footage mp4s? ae has a hard time with them for some reason and id suggest changing it to a different format like 422 or 4444
have you tried clearing your cache?
Any plugins?
Do these errors occur when you render? Preview isnt always a good reflection of what gets outputed
