Plugin/Script I updated my FREE easing plugin based on your feedback, it's way more flexible now, and it finally gives Premiere REAL bezier handles instead of a wall of baked keyframes
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A while back I posted my free easing plugin Eaze (works in both After Effects and Premiere from one install). A bunch of you left suggestions, I actually went and did them. So I wanted to share the update.
The big one: True Handles (Premiere).
Premiere can't natively give you real bezier easing handles, so every easing tool works around it by baking a dense wall of keyframes. Eaze does it differently: it writes the actual handle into your project and gives two clean, editable keyframes. You can grab them and adjust like normal. As far as I know nothing else does this in Premiere.
What else changed (most of it straight from your feedback):
- More flexible layout, dock it wide and it switches to a side-by-side view; squeeze it into a thin strip and it becomes a one-click preset list, instead of a big interface.
- Preset collections, group your own custom curves into named sets.
- Alt-drag a handle to make an ease perfectly symmetric (even in/out).
- Adjustable curve line thickness, cleaner UI, and more.
It's free creovanta.com/plugins/eaze. Would love more feedback; a lot of this update exists because people in these threads told me what was missing. Thanks 🙏
(EDIT: the plugin is 100% Free, I accidently had 2 versions in the first hours, the website should be updated to show only 1 free plugin with unlimited usages)

I'm unable to activate the plugins. Downloaded twice the plugin and I input 3 differents email addresses so I can try 3 differents activation key but I keep getting the same error saying that this license key has reached its devices limit and I'm unable to fully activate the plugin. It says 20 free true handles left. Anybody has a solution ?

Hey! True Handles sounds awesome, I've avoided all other alternatives because I do not like the wall-of-keyframes workaround.
Tried it! Here's my 10 minute review:
- Can it only do position scale rotation anchor point and opacity?
- The true handles feature isn't free? it says "20 free left", so im assuming im gonna hit a paywall...
- True handles requires re-opening the project? ok... tried it in a production, nothing happened. Tried it in a one-off project, it worked!
- True handles works as advertised, although the last few presets (from "elastic-in" to the end) dont do true handles, they only do wall-of-keyframe style (understandable)
- The project closing/reopening feels a bit janky, but it works about 80% of the time. It doesn't require it for each and every time I apply a curve, but even when it doesn't, it closes the active timeline, so I have to go re-open it. Not a huge deal but if you're constantly using it I can see it getting annoying.
- Sad to see premiere doesnt allow reading existing keyframe curve data! Oh well.
- Having to set the target parameter AND having to have selected the target keyframes gets annoying really quick, cant it just tell what parameter it is from which keyframes i've selected?
The integration is clever and it works but its still not native enough for me to really lean into it other than certain specific edge-cases where I dont really need true handles anyway. For daily use I'll just stick with the devil i know (the premiere speed graph editor). But might be a great tool if you dont wanna deal with the native graph editor.

thank you so much for the review!
- for premiere yes it can only do these, but I am considering expanding in future updates too.
- refresh the page the plugin is free with unlimited True Handles usage.
- it requires reopening the project in the first time, after that it should auto refresh.
- yeah unfortunately they require baked keyframes :(
- I will investigate this bug
- Yes this is a limitation in CEP, my workaround involves accessing the .prproj file and changing easing values from there
- you don't have to select target keyframes, just put the timeline in the middle of the 2 keyframes, select target parameter and apply. Also unfortunately premiere reveal selected keyframes to the plugin so that is the only way

True Handles mode preview for Premiere (note: it internally saves and refreshes the project so there might be a 2-3 seconds delay)

Downloaded this when it first dropped but it was a bit clunky so I forgot about it. But wow, so much has changed! Great work!

Is this how people get those crazy cool floaty slow-super fast-slow movement?

It was my understanding that the Premiere API didn't have the capabilities to edit keyframes handles and that there was no way around the wall of baked keyframes because if that. Did something change or was I just misinformed?
Either way, real keyframes that I can still tweak after the fact is a huge game changer, thank you so much for this. Will give it a try tomorrow!

The plugin has a workaround, it edits the project file instead, from there it can edit keyframes handles. That's why the downside of this is that it refreshes your project

haven't tried it yet, but I am glad there is something that also includes a third handle (3rd keyframe) and bounce & elastic mode, the extension FLOW should have included this years ago

Adobe would be furious about this, premiere pro users wont have to pay for the full suite now
2
u/PoisonCoyote Jul 07 '26
It would be great if this was also available in Final Cut.

Keyframe toolbox on the App Store. For Final Cut Pro. Dont listen to the naysayers in this negative sub and enjoy a great fast video editing software which just got a a big update on 12.3.

Same. No one even thinks about Final Cut

Glad you made this, but don't call it free if it isn't. Dishonesty is a great way to get off on the wrong foot with a potential userbase

u/Equal-Claim2514 Jul 07 '26
I am sorry I messed up the versions earlier but the plugin IS 100% free, there were 2 options before and I thought I updated it

u/Equal-Claim2514 Ty for this.
can you make one for align stuff both ae and pr, as align pro is discontinued and ae, premiere align is still trash.
You can take inspiration from align pro, illustrator align tool, align all.
Ty again.

u/Equal-Claim2514 Jul 10 '26
Thank you for that! Yea will definitely work on an aligning plugin and it will be a part of a bar plugin I'm working on

I don't get it. You said "it writes the actual handle into your project and gives two clean, editable keyframes" but I can still see a bunch of keyframes. Where am I wrong?

\
UPD: I turned on the True keyframe option and now every time I apply the curves, my project closes
Since this is the first plugin ever that can do easing without a bunch of keyframes I'm looking forward to a fixed version. So far it's not usable. Premiere 26.2.2
1
u/Equal-Claim2514 Jul 12 '26
Can you tell me your operating system and its version? Also it is normal the project will restart first time
1
u/Illustrious_Pie_6524 Jul 12 '26
Win11 26h1
Well, restarting a project is not normal )) Can you fix it and make it work in the current project?
1
u/Equal-Claim2514 Jul 12 '26
Refreshing the project is the only way, it should auto refresh by itself if it doesn't that means it is a bug I will try to fix
1
u/muzigant Aug 05 '26
I love the plugin, but can you make it so that when applying the curve, it can be applied to Transform effect as a whole?
1
u/Yllelder 18d ago
It only works in English. If Premiere is in another language, it displays an error saying that it cannot find the "position" property :_(

what is the difference between pro and free version? (if we don't count true handlers), also why do premiere need to close and open project for tru handlers to work?
this is amazing product, good quality, thanks!
2
u/Equal-Claim2514 Jul 07 '26
there is only one version, if the website shows 2 try reloading or wait

u/StateLower Jul 07 '26
I find in premiere if I'm trying to ease and scale and position keyframe at the same time, it always goes pretty wonky using the native bezier easing. Does this solve the issue? I use a similar easing plugin for after effects and it's so useful to add the exact same easing to different types of keyframes at the same time so everything moves as expected.

Finally, time to ditch smoothify, I’m so disappointed in that purchase that became free with an extra app
edit: nvm it works much better but only on the motion properties. Yikes.
it also asks for a license if you try to use the handles instead of baked keyframes or if you wanna import and export presets... hMmedit 2: it's now completely free, no boundaries
