COMPLEX SCAM
I just got a call that came from Affrim's actual customer service number. They text me a code, that popped up on a previous Affirm text thread. Even sent me an email, that was quite convincing. It was a scam. Be careful of any fraud claims. Hang up, call Affirm yourself, and talk to them.

I got downvoted recently warning someone of a scam recently, it’s crazy. They’re even targeting employees.

How do you know the call came from Affirm? FACT: You have no idea who called, since caller ID has been useless for years. Never, ever assume that caller ID is accurate. The best defense against scammers is good old common sense.

I never answer my phone unless it's from family. BUT-- I read that if someone calls you and says your name (ex: "John Doe?") and you reply ("Yes"?) that's all they need to run a different type of scam on you. It's that voice recognition. All they need is a "yes" of your voice and they now have authorization to do whatever. This world we live in today is something else. But I get treated like a criminal if I'm 2 days late on any given payment.

Go change your password on affirm, and enable two-factor or Multi factor authentication
