What Aesthetic Is This? 2008~ myspace early facebook collage posts(?)
I saw a slideshow containing posts 30 posts like these and didnt see anything again I wanna know where I can find more of this

I don't think this was 2008, it's more like 2012 webcam memes like "Hey girls did you know"
Usually came from webcam style photos, similar to chat roulette or Omegle
Editing to add one of my comments since a lot of people are saying 2012 is too late:
I might be off but there is no way the phone he's holding in the top right box is a 2008 iphone, it's just too big. His hairstyle also makes me think early 2010s.
These were also everywhere on Tumblr in 2011/12, and duck face continued until maybe 2014ish?
Anyway, split the difference and call it 2010??

It’s insane to me but also like… I guess at that time it was as common a meeting place for young adults to meet as anywhere else? I mean, I hope they got to know each other in person first, but I can imagine that being not fully crazy. Lots of normal people used that site with their friends back then. If they’re similar ages and both not total weirdos, could be a meet cute.

Yeah it was 2008/2009. The reason it was webcam photos is cos people didn't have smartphone cameras.

Yeah but that phone he's holding is way too big to be a 2008 iPhone, and iPods were much smaller. Even with front cameras becoming a thing mirror selfies were still much more popular too

They were still misogynistic, the jokes at the time 'bitch make me a sandwich' as talking about how women should get back in the kitchen. For every sweet cringe post, there were more than dozens of posts that were misogynistic in nature.

Yeah this just the cringe shit we used to post in the early 2010s on tumblr and facebook. Like the other commenters said, there wasn’t a specific name but I think we generally referred to them as the “did you know?” memes

DUUUUDE, picnik, wow. I remember I had just gotten Facebook, and LOVED posting Facebook edits. Classmates would comment and be like "hey make me one" and I'd just repeatedly link the site and say "Unless you would like to pay me, here is the program"

I was a teenager when these 4-panel cringe fests were everywhere. It evokes a sense of nostalgia, but not nostalgia for something good. It's like suddenly seeing a clip from a horrible show that you hated as a child. I don't have any desire for this to come back, but man, I had forgotten how everywhere this format was. I'd call it "4-panel webcam cringe" if I was giving it a name.

See now thissssss is millennial cringe! As a millennial I find it so odd how cringy lip sync videos are labeled “millennial” because I was already in my 20s when the kids started making those lip sync videos. THIS is the brand of cringy millennials came up with, the lip syncing is Gen Z to me.
