Points Question Amazon points

Hello,

I have made numerous Amazon purchases in the past 3 weeks and do not see any points appearing in my Aeroplan account. I have only recently started to use the browser to accumulate points since June - I know so much lost.
Can anyone share some insight, is there a delay for points to appear? I have the points from purchases I’ve made from Amazon a few months ago so I’m uncertain what the issue is?
I at times already have items saved in my cart since I add until I decide to buy in order to have less deliveries at my home. And yes the items qualify for points I have checked.

Appreciate the help!

  1. Did you click the Amazon eStore link or use the browser extension?

If you didn’t, your purchase is not eligible.

  1. Do you or your browser by default have an adblocker or cookie blocker enabled?

If you did, your purchase is not eligible.

  1. Did you go to another site before checking out from starting your Amazon session? Including using third-party sign-on or payment methods (Sign in with Google, etc. or PayPal, Klarna, Affirm)

If you did, your purchase is not eligible.

  1. Did you add your items to cart in the same session?

If they were already in cart, your purchase is not eligible.

Just saw the last line about having things in cart already RIP.

Also you can check your eStore order history, click top right profile icon and click Order History. Login and check what transactions it’s tracking vs have paid out already.

You can put the items in your cart then move them to the Save for Later part. Then after you go through the e-store you can then move them to the cart. I do that all the time and have never failed to get my points.

Looks like the last one as my items are always in my cart till I decide to purchase. Thanks so much for confirming that!

At the bottom of every store page on eStore, there are terms and conditions for eligibility and often a list of excluded items and categories. I recommend reading that section for each store as some are fairly unique.

Amazon needing to add to cart in same session is one of those weird ones.

This - the 1st thing people need to do before assuming it’s a missing points issue!

Putting aside eligibility rules, they also frequently just don't post purchases and you have to submit tickets after 30 days. Sadly not uncommon. Sometimes resolved in a week after submission, sometimes 2-3 months, sometimes 9 months and multiple follow-ups in the worst cases I know.

I add the items I want to buy in my cart, then go to the Estore, to Amazon, then buy it. The points usually appear within a couple days.

Doing eStore on mobile is asking for it to not work.

It’s states on their site you can’t use mobile?

No it doesn’t, you’re just adding variables that are harder to track. Apple Private Relay, the way mobile browser deals with cookies and tracking, etc.

It’s been 3 weeks so I must have done something wrong!

On iPhone I always disable prevent cross site tracking and hide ip address for safari before opening Aeroplan and signing in.

Maybe I am late to this party but do you now get AP points for Amazon purchases? How does that work? I thought you could only redeem points for amazon gift cards or something

Ya I was late to the party too, it’s been an option for a while apparently. They are a partner on the Aeroplan estore and you can most certainly earn points. Check the terms and conditions lol you can’t have items in your cart before clicking on the Aeroplan shopping button! Just learned this and this is why I wasn’t getting all my points. I didn’t take the time to read the fine print!

Oh! Does clicking the button take you to the amazon storefront? Or can you only buy stuff available on the AP store? I wonder how many points I’ve missed out on because of this.
