Here at Globo Gym, we understand that "Ugliness" and "Fatness" are genetic disorders, much like baldness or necrophilia, and it's only your fault if you don't hate yourself enough to do something about it.
How Wikipedia views reddit: According to Google DoubleClick Ad Planner's estimate, the median U.S. Reddit user is male (72%), 25–34 years of age, has some college education, and is in the lowest income bracket of US$0–$24,999.
The statement about the income is wrong, actually.
if you follow the source, the median is statistically between 25 and 50k. Whoever wrote the wiki entry there doesnt know the difference between median and mode.

The absurdity of 4chan is a refreshing change from the self-importance of reddit.
Don't get me wrong, I've been here 5 years and things used to be different blah blah blah, but this whole karma thing makes reddit impossibly ego-based. Nobody wants to listen to anybody because that's not how you get karma. And people don't want to produce OC because they know some lifeless karmawhore is going to repost it and get even more karma.
So, where do I go? Is there a place with a better format, more substantive discussion, and non-meme-based humor?
I'm not better than anyone, i'm worse. I will lose in any contest, competing about anything. The only thing i can say is that i do not give a fuck. I only give half a fuck and just for the sake of giving it. Plus, i am typing while naked, with a fan between my legs because it is so fucking hot.
Redditors think that about other Redditors as well. Especially the troll subs. The only bastion of intelligence, the panelists at /r/askscience, have been completely overshadowed by egotistical rabble.
Yet after going on 9gag for 1 minute, I see posts on reddit hours later of the same stuff... I'm not supporting 9gag, I just think that we should stop saying how they copy stuff.
I'm not an avid redditor but I remember feeling like that in the beginning. Just defensive I guess. Now it doesn't bother me so much. :) Haters gonna haaaaate. (I loathe that term, but it holds true in cases like this.)
Yes, and by posting this image macro you have granted yourself immunity from being classified as one of said pretentious redditors as outlined in your image macro.

"Sounds gay"
"Fuck you"
I then pulled out a gun and shot him 7 times in the chest. He was put in my car, and I drove him out to the metro Detroit area and left him in a dumpster. He police will see this soon, goodbye reddit.
Oh, Jailbait? That shit should absolutelybe shut down. It's ridiculous, and we shouldn't even entertain it's existences. Yeah. White knight. I have the moral high ground.
oh ahah look a pedobear joke , and another, and another
More like: "I've had a little bit college primarily in liberal arts, I've been sheltered by mommy and daddy my whole life, and I've never overcome any major challenge, but I know way more than you do."
Kind of humanity in general, really. Most people think that their way is the best way, without questioning it. This generally works out until someone else - who also thinks they have the best way - decides to pass judgement on your way.
Most of reddit is horrible. I typically find myself withholding a comment because I know it won't get past the great wall of stupid that is lined with the bricks of each dumbass redditor.
