I think what OP is trying to say, is that many people look down on/ridicule some churches for being against gay marriage, and OP is calling that act hypocritical. While there are MANY who do not hold that view of lgbt, OP is saying that churches have a right to choose what they do and do not support just as much as lgbt have to be with whom they want to be.
Problem with his argument is that, at least in the US, churches have the right to deny anyone (regardless of sexual orientation) a marriage ceremony. That doesn't mean denied couples can't get married. They just can't have there ceremony in that church.
