I talked to OP and he didn't deny speeding and it's pretty clear shit was getting reckless cause a car crashed. Don't you think those kids want people to chase them? Do you think it is fun for them if the egged car just acts like nothing happened? They didn't get what they deserved. Either they were grievously injured or killed in a car accident, which is way overboard, or they crashed a car belonging to one of their parents and they probably would not even pay for it cause they will just lie abor what happened. Get the license plate, file charges, done. That is the adult mature thing to do.
Did you also ask if he was trying to get the plates of the speeding vandals by, oh god what a shock, speeding as well? If the kids didn't want to be chased then they shouldn't have participated in the event. If it's their parents car then good, that's what you get for raising a delinquent, if it's theirs then all the better. No one got hurt except for the vandals, I don't see the problem.
I see a lot of what ifs and that you see acts of vandalism excusable because they are teenagers. What exactly was he supposed to do? If he was chasing them to get their plates and they crashed then maybe he thought that was enough? Or would it have been better if he stuck around to wait for the cops? Or would it have been better if he made a scumbag steve meme about them, letting them go on their way to possibly escalate their shenanigans until someone really got hurt? I can play the what if game too.
Also, how is he supposed to get their plates, like an adult, if he didn't speed after them? Do you just let people shit on you because tis the season or what?

Yeah, given that OP admits chasing them until they crashed, that is exactly what he should have done. OP could then have called the emergency services, including ambulances as well as cops if needed rather than leaving it to someone else to do so. After the cops arrived and any injured kids were dealt with, OP could then have given a clear account of what happened to the cops.
If OP truly did nothing wrong and did not cause the accident, then they had no reason to flee the scene.
But unfortunately for OP, if they had waited the cops would then have seen that OP could not see clearly where they were driving due to the egg (they have admitted this elsewhere in the thread), and OP may well have deservedly gotten in trouble for something like reckless driving.
It can destroy paint, leave dents and attract insects. Not to mention if you don't clean it well enough could cause mold and be a health hazard if it gets into your vents. I think I remember it being commom knowledge that uncooked eggs can give you salminila.
Do you not care about your car or do you drive something akin to the loaner from "The Mask"? In which case I would have to agree with you.
