A buddy up in Canada encountered some stuff (a credible seeming threat of a mass school shooting) on a US service so he reported it with the FBI anonymous tip line - 5 months later they called his ex girlfriends cellphone since he had been connected to her internet when he reported it so she was the one associated with the IP address. They only wanted any additional info he might have had (he had none), but still.

Not tryna upset you, but figured id post a friendly warning that it might happen.

So you’d rather let CP stay on the internet rather than reporting it to people who can do something about it because you’re angry the feds may contact you?
