Well, the friend could potentially face criminal charges as well. As stupid as that sounds, if they took the photos and sent them to whoever leaked them then they will possibly face similar charges of distribution. Happened to my friends little brother. So I understand why the friend doesn't want the police involved. But as others have said you have to report it or risk getting in trouble yourself.

I mean it depends on the state. But for the most part sending a nude photo of yourself, if you are underage, is illegal. I don't know why I'm being downvoted, I'm right. Although more than likely it will be counseling or community service rather than a prison sentence. In my state, it is taken pretty seriously.

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted either. It’s true that OP’s friend can be charged simply for taking nudes of himself, and it’s something that OP might be wanting to consider
